[Bug 1609215] Re: Merge grilo-plugins 0.3.2-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)

2016-08-08 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package rhythmbox - 3.3.1-2ubuntu1

---
rhythmbox (3.3.1-2ubuntu1) yakkety; urgency=medium

  [ Jeremy Bicha ]
  * Merge with Debian for grilo 0.3 support (LP: #1609215). Remaining changes:
+ Split out mozilla, visualizer and zeitgeist plugins
+ debian/control.in:
  - Build-depend on clutter-gst 3.0, clutter-gtk and mx 2
  - Suggest instead of recommend gst-plugins-ugly
  - Recommend the zeitgeist plugin and suggest the visualizer plugin
+ Build the visualizer plugin.
+ debian/rhythmbox-plugins.install, debian/control{,.in}: Drop context
  plugin - it's mostly broken and would need porting to webkit2 anyway.
+ debian/patches/02_use_escaped_podcast_uri.patch
  - Handle podcasts that have sound files with the same basename
+ debian/patches/03_magnatune_partner.patch:
  - Change magnatune partner ID to 'ubuntu'.
+ debian/patches/05_hide_on_quit.patch
  - Hide (not quit) if RB is playing when closed.
+ debian/patches/07_quicklists.patch
  - Add quicklists.
+ debian/patches/08_stop_quit.patch:
  - Add a "Stop & Quit"-option to the quickmenu (via .desktop)
+ debian/patches/make-shuffle-repeat-proper-toggle-actions.patch,
  debian/patches/restore-traditional-menubar.patch: Add a traditional
  menubar back when we want it, and fix the shuffle/repeat actions so they
  work correctly there.
+ debian/patches/clutter-gst-3.0.patch: detect clutter-gst-3.0 and mx 2.0
+ debian/patches/0002-grilo-container-max-tracks.patch:
  increase CONTAINER_MAX_TRACKS to 15000
+ debian/patches/10_encoding_use_ubuntu_profiles.patch, debian/*.prs,
  debian/rhythmbox-data.install:
  - Add Ubuntu encoding presets and use them by default.
+ debian/source_rhythmbox.py: Add an apport hook.
+ Multiarchify the library packages.
  * Move plugins from rhythmbox and rhythmbox-plugins-magnatune to
rhythmbox-plugins (which rhythmbox recommends) to reduce needless diff
with Debian and add breaks/replaces for it

  [ Laurent Bigonville ]
  * debian/control.in: Drop dependency on adwaita-icon-theme

[Bug 1609215] Re: Merge grilo-plugins 0.3.2-1 (main) from Debian unstable (main)

2016-08-08 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package totem - 3.20.1-3ubuntu2

---
totem (3.20.1-3ubuntu2) yakkety; urgency=medium

  * Merge with Debian (LP: #1609215). Remaining changes:
- debian/control.in:
  + Drop libxtst-dev build-depends so that the (redundant) fake key presses
for inhibiting the screensaver are disabled (LP: #1007438)
  + Build-depend on libzeitgeist-dev, libicu-dev
  + Depend on grilo base plugins not the full set
  + Suggest rather than recommend gstreamer components in universe
  + Add totem-plugins-extra
  + Don't recommend gnome-settings-daemon from the plugins any more; it's
not right to pull in desktop integration bits by default.
  + Use ubuntu-desktop vcs
- debian/rules:
  + Build with --fail-missing, to ensure we install everything.
  + Ignore libtotem.{,l}a since we delibrately don't install these.
  + Binary install override for totem-plugins-extra
  + Generate compatibility .desktop file
  + Enable buildflags script
  + Enable GTK+ Doc
- debian/totem-common.install, debian/source_totem.py:
  + Install Ubuntu apport debugging hook
- debian/totem-plugins-extra.install:
  + Universe plugins split out of totem-plugins (currently only gromit)
- debian/totem-plugins.install:
  + Skip the plugins split to -extra and add the zeitgeist plugin
- debian/patches/0001-Add-a-traditional-menubar.patch:
  + Add a traditional menubar
- debian/patches/correct_desktop_mimetypes.patch:
  + Don't list the mimetypes after the unity lists
- debian/patches/91_quicklist_entries.patch:
  + Add static quicklist
- debian/patches/ubuntu-grilo-filesystem.patch:
  + Use grl-filesystem if tracker is not available
- debian/patches/ubuntu-use-traditional-titlebars.patch:
  + Use traditional titlebars on !GNOME
-
debian/patches/0001-totem-open-location-Respect-gtk-dialogs-use-header-s.patch:
  + Respect gtk-dialogs-use-header setting
-
debian/patches/0002-preferences-Respect-gtk-dialogs-use-header-setting.patch:
  + Respect gtk-dialogs-use-header setting
-
debian/patches/0003-totem-movie-properties-Respect-gtk-dialogs-use-heade.patch:
  + Respect gtk-dialogs-use-header setting
- Multiarchify the library packages.
  * Updated 0001-Add-a-traditional-menubar.patch for new version

[Bug 1611188] [NEW] Bluetooth doesn't work after recovering computer from sleeping

2016-08-08 Thread erintiransom
Public bug reported:

I'm not sure which package is not working properly. I know the easy way
to solve the problem, which it doesn't make sense really but it works:

1. When the PC recovers from sleeping, the bluetooth indicator is dark
and bluetooth mouse doesn't work. First step is to click (with the
built-in laptop mouse, of course) on "visible" to turn off visibility.
Somehow the bluetooth is enabled, then.

2. Then you have to click visible to switch it on again. Then you click
on your bluetooth mouse and it connects in 0.0s.

If you don't follow these two steps and try to do other, more logical
things (like putting your laptop on airplane mode through the physical
switch, or turn off and on bluetooth) you'll get in trouble. Sometimes
you have to delete the mouse from bluetooth devices and pair it again.

The solution is easy, I've got used to it and it's superfast, but people
who don't find this procedure -which I found by luck- will get very
frustrated unless this bug is fixed.

Oh, I had this problem in previous Ubuntu versions (15.10, 15.04 and
maybe before) but at some point it got solved. I don't remember if I had
this problem after updating to 16.04, but I did a clean install recently
and got it back.

Dell Latitude E6410
430-3659 : Dell Wireless 375 Bluetooth Module, Dell Latitude E
Drivers should be whatever drivers Ubuntu assigns to this hardware. There are
no proprietary bluetooth drivers in the system configuration.

Thanks.

[Bug 1611125] Re: Nautilus adds menubar to desktop window

2016-08-08 Thread Alberts Muktupāvels
It looks like `0002-Only-use-a-header-bar-in-GNOME-shell.patch` causes
this problem.

Most likely this can be fixed by changing:
if (xdg_current_desktop)
to:
if (xdg_current_desktop && !NAUTILUS_IS_DESKTOP_WINDOW (window))

P.S. Nautilus patches still use g_strcmp0 with XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP...

[Bug 1575484] Re: "Set document metadata failed"

2016-08-08 Thread Daniel Henrique
I'm with the same problem when I try to edit grub config file. So
searched over another places and found this:

"If I recall correctly from a previous discussion about this sort of thing, the
problem is that when you su to root a lot of your environment which is required
for the correct running of Gnome GUI apps is not set up appropriately. The
consensus from the developers seemed to be that running GUIs as root was
generally a bad idea and should not be encouraged.

Perhaps an alternative (nano?) or just use vi."
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=303374

If I've understood right I've to switch to another editor. So I'll try
the same line in terminal switching "gedit" for "nano".

I've switched to "sudo nano gedit /boot/grub/grub.cfg" and sucess until
now. I've to reboot and see if grub is now with the new settings ready
to go.

So, good luck to you'll all and I'll be back, if my note don't explode.
:D

[Bug 1610882] Re: No context menu in VIM in gnome-terminal after upgrade to xenial

2016-08-08 Thread Egmont Koblinger
This is because gnome-terminal now correctly delivers the right-click
event to vim (or any application that is interested in mouse events). In
14.04 it was impossible for vim (or any other app) to receive right-
clicks in gnome-terminal.

You might either disable mouse support in vim, or invoke the context
menu with Shift + right-click, or use the top menu bar or the shortcut
key Ctrl + Shift + C/V.

Flightgear missing is bug 1591115 which is fixed in xenial-proposed and
will be fixed in xenial-updates soon (probably this week).

non-graphical programs missing from the Software app is probably bug
1553211. It's a design decision for the Ubuntu Software/GNOME Software
app to only show graphical "apps."

I do not think this is a duplicate of bug #1548933. That bug is in
reference to the Software Centre not showing any software except the
software already installed. This one is in reference to the Software
Centre not showing all software that can be installed, even though it
does show *some* software.

For example on my system, the new Ubuntu Software does not show
FlightGear, but the old Ubuntu Software Centre (which I still have
installed) does.

[Bug 1610721] [NEW] Ctrl+S in terminal causes shutdown/reboot (init) to hang

2016-08-08 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
You have been subscribed to a public bug:

1. Boot an Ubuntu 16.04 machine that doesn't have an X server installed
2. When you get the terminal log-in prompt (on tty1), instead of logging in,
press Ctrl+S to stop terminal flow
3. Connect to the machine via SSH
4. Run "sudo init 0" via SSH

The init command hangs. Only when you press Ctrl+Q in the terminal does
the machine shut down.

This behavior is confusing when you accidentally hit Ctrl+S. It also
means that you cannot shut down or reboot the machine remotely if
someone has pressed Ctrl+S locally.

Pressing the power button instead of running "init 0" produces the
behavior as well - nothing happens until you press Ctrl+Q.

I'm attaching a screen recording to illustrate the problem.

[Bug 1611015] [NEW] Hide view and action pop-up menus in Unity

2016-08-08 Thread Jeremy Bicha
Public bug reported:

After I submitted the merge for 3.20.1-1ubuntu1, I saw that evince's
traditional_menu_bar.patch has this comment:

"The view and action menus are hidden when the menubar is shown"

And in fact, the original patch does have that feature but this was
skipped in at least the xenial version. Someone will need to merge the
changes to shell/ev-toolbar.c from that patch to the current patch.

https://git.gnome.org/browse/evince/commit/?h=wip/gmenu=8b2440b23466b2b9e30a92122b4ed9496484ae54

I'm attaching the patch here in case the Evince developers decide to
prune old branches.

[Bug 1589611] Re: gnome-terminal crash on non-utf8 locale

2016-08-08 Thread Jon Green
In my case, I had a happy, up-to-date Xenial Ubuntu installation. I
decided to load the xubuntu packages too, as an alternative desktop.
Switching back to regular Ubuntu later, gnome-terminal no longer works,
for the above reasons.

Having determined that the problem is that DBus isn't providing correct
locale information, I have used:

* "sudo locale-gen --purge"
* "sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales" (selecting only en_GB locales that are UTF-8)
* "sudo gnome-language-selector" (ditto)

...and rebooted after each, but gnome-terminal still fails with status 8 when
launched from xterm.

gtk+2.0 (2.24.30-4) unstable; urgency=medium

  [ Laurent Bigonville ]
  * debian/control.in: Bump hicolor-icon-theme to a hard dependency, the
package is small and only provides the directory structure of the theme.
  * Depends against gnome-icon-theme | adwaita-icon-theme so we are sure the
needed icons are installed by default. When using the GNOME, the desktop
sets the icon theme to Adwaita by default, so the gnome-icon-theme package
can be removed.

  [ Emilio Pozuelo Monfort ]
  * Add build-indep and build-arch targets.
  * Don't build the udeb or static flavors when only building arch-indep
packages. Don't run the test suite either.
  * Don't build the different flavors in parallel, to workaround a bug in the
documentation build. Closes: #798972.

gtk+2.0 (2.24.30-3) unstable; urgency=medium

  [ Jeremy Bicha ]
  * Use https for copyright headers
  * Use https in d/watch and use new "special strings" to help standardize
format

  [ Emilio Pozuelo Monfort ]
  * Let libgtk2.0-0 recommend libgail-common, so that installing a
GTK+2.0 application also installs the accessibility libs.
See #822612.
  * Add a libgail18-udeb package. Thanks to Samuel Thibault. Closes: #816720.
  * Set libgail18-udeb to section debian-installer.

[Bug 1576576] Re: [needs-packaging] Update to 3.20 needs work and coordination

2016-08-08 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package gtk+3.0 - 3.20.6-1ubuntu1

---
gtk+3.0 (3.20.6-1ubuntu1) yakkety; urgency=medium

  * Merge with Debian (LP: #1576576). Remaining changes:
+ Install the settings.ini file to set our themes
+ Enable parallel builds
+ Ubuntu specific patches:
  - 073_treeview_almost_fixed.patch
  - 074_eventbox_scroll_mask.patch
  - bzg_gtkcellrenderer_grabbing_modifier.patch
  - ubuntu_gtk_custom_menu_items.patch
  - print-dialog-show-options-of-remote-dnssd-printers.patch
  - uimanager-guard-against-nested-node-updates.patch
  - x-canonical-accel.patch
  - message-dialog-restore-traditional-look-on-unity.patch
  - 0001-gtk-reftest-Force-icon-theme-to-Adwaita.patch
  - restore_filechooser_typeaheadfind
  - 0001-calendar-always-emit-day-selected-once.patch
  - 0001-gtkwindow-set-transparent-background-color.patch
  - ubuntu_fileselector_behaviour.patch
  - unity-border-radius.patch
  - unity-headerbar-maximized-mode.patch
+ Install a gsettings override to start filechoosers in the cwd
+ Enable Mir backend

gtk+3.0 (3.20.6-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.
  * Drop revert-scrolledwindow-Remove-child-before-destroying.patch, merged
upstream.
  * Re-enable test-suite.

gtk+3.0 (3.20.5-4) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Work around a bug in cdbs which causes the package to FTBFS; see #825135
for further details.

gtk+3.0 (3.20.5-3) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Make it simpler to bootstrap the package by marking the build dependencies
which are required to run the test-suite with .
(Closes: #747392)
  * Bump Build-Depends on debhelper to (>= 9.20141010) and dpkg-dev to
(>= 1.17.14) for build dependency restrictions support.
  * Temporarily disable the test suite (and its build-dependencies) to allow
building the new gtk-update-icon-cache package. Our buildds don't support
build profiles yet, so we'll have to bootstrap manually for now.

gtk+3.0 (3.20.5-2) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Split gtk-update-icon-cache utility out of libgtk-3-bin into a separate
package called gtk-update-icon-cache to break a dependency cycle with
adwaita-icon-theme when building the package. (Closes: #824999)
As the gtk-update-icon-cache binary doesn't actually have any libgtk-3-0
dependency, there is no longer a reason to ship a gtk2 and gtk3 variant.
So from now on we will only ship one implementation built from src:gtk+3.0
and drop the Debian specific -3.0 suffix. To simplify the transition make
libgtk-3-bin depend on gtk-update-icon-cache. Once all theme packages have
been updated, this dependency can be dropped.
  * Cherry-pick patch from upstream Git which reverts a commit that was
causing crashes in the filechooser in some applications.

gtk+3.0 (3.20.5-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.
  * Refresh patches.
  * Bump Standards-Version to 3.9.8.

gtk+3.0 (3.20.4-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.

gtk+3.0 (3.20.3-2) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Restore debian/patches/reftest-known-fail.patch so we can mark known
failing tests as non-fatal.
  * Drop debian/patches/disable-flaky-textview-margins-reftest.patch and tag
textview-margins.ui as known-fail.
  * Mark button-wrapping.ui reftest as known-fail, it currently fails on
mips(64)el and prevents testing migration and important fixes in other
packages reaching testing.

gtk+3.0 (3.20.3-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.
  * Drop debian/patches/git_window-Remove-suspicious-branch.patch, merged
upstream and refresh the remaining patches.
  * Upload to unstable.

gtk+3.0 (3.20.2-1) experimental; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.
  * Drop debian/patches/git_fix_emacs.patch, included in release.
  * Add debian/patches/git_window-Remove-suspicious-branch.patch
- from upstream git, reverts a revert in 3.20.2 that causes the
  testsuite to fail. Emacs users watch out!

gtk+3.0 (3.20.1-2) experimental; urgency=medium

  * Add debian/patches/disable-flaky-textview-margins-reftest.patch

gtk+3.0 (3.20.1-1) experimental; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.
  * Drop debian/patches/git_a11y_GTK_CSD_distcheck.patch, included in release.
  * Add debian/patches/git_fix_emacs.patch, cherry-picked from upstream git.
Thanks to Matteo F. Vescovi for verifying the commit fixed the emacs
problem.

gtk+3.0 (3.20.0-1) experimental; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.
  * Make testsuite fatal again.
  * Add debian/patches/git_a11y_GTK_CSD_distcheck.patch
- cherry-pick commit from upstream to use client-side decorations
  for a11y tests when running under distcheck.
  * Drop debian/patches/reftest-known-fail.patch
  * Stop tagging reftests as known fail since they should be fixed now:
- style-properties-nth-child.ui
- label-text-shadow-changes-modify-clip.ui
  * Add

[Bug 1576576] Re: [needs-packaging] Update to 3.20 needs work and coordination

2016-08-08 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package adwaita-icon-theme - 3.20-3ubuntu2

---
adwaita-icon-theme (3.20-3ubuntu2) yakkety; urgency=medium

  * No-change rebuild in PPA to work around uninstallable BDs.

adwaita-icon-theme (3.20-3ubuntu1) yakkety; urgency=low

  * Merge from Debian unstable (LP: #1576576), remaining changes:
- Split into adwaita-icon-theme and adwaita-icon-theme-full.
- debian/rules: No need to drop /usr/share/locale, we don't install it.
  * debian/control{,.in}: In a PPA upload, I forgot the tilde on the version
which meant that the PPA version of -full wasn't installable (but the
archive one would have been). Let's try to Break and Replace the
binary:Version instead so it always works, as long as apt can deal with
that.

adwaita-icon-theme (3.20-3) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Replace dependency on libgtk-3-bin with gtk-update-icon-cache to break a
dependency cycle when building src:gtk+3.0, see #824999. (Closes: #763669)
  * Bump Standards-Version to 3.9.8.
  * Bump debhelper compatibility level to 9.

adwaita-icon-theme (3.20-2) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Upload to unstable.
  * Drop Build-Depends on icon-naming-utils, no longer needed.

adwaita-icon-theme (3.20-1) experimental; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.

adwaita-icon-theme (3.19.91-1) experimental; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.
  * Drop intltool build-dependency
- upstream no longer builds translations.
  * debian/rules: drop removal of translations which no longer gets built.
  * Bump Standards-Version to 3.9.7.

[Bug 1582034] Re: Eye Of Gnome doesn't refresh automatically the image when it is edited in 16.04

2016-08-08 Thread Sebastien Bacher
** Description changed:

- When a image is open in EOG and edited in a image editor (for example:
- Gimp), the image in EOG isn't refreshed. I must browse to next or
- previous image to refresh the edited image.
+ * Impact
+ When a image is open in EOG and edited in a image editor (for example: Gimp),
the image in EOG isn't refreshed.

- But, when I do it, the image showed in EOG is the first image in the
- folder. When there is many images in the folder, the work becomes
- terrible.
+ * Test case
+ - open an image in eog
+ - edit the same image with another software, e.g gimp or shotwell viewer
+ - look if the eog version refresh on changes
+
+ * Impact
+ the change is in the file monitor code, just check the behaviour on external
changes (replace the image, edit it, etc)

@drax - I just downloaded and installed the Citrix .deb you mentioned,
and it worked fine for me. "Citrix Receiver" appears in the dash and
the software is installed to /opt/Citrix/ICAClient.

Please could you attach your syslog from when you were trying to install

It's worth checking that you are fully up to date with a "sudo apt
