[Bug 1617512] [NEW] x-systemd.automount causes system to fail to boot

2016-08-26 Thread Nazar Mokrynskyi
Public bug reported:

I've changed /etc/fstab mount line from:
UUID=78fc6e4d-9a37-406d-9bde-449fd8595373 /media/Data ext4 relatime 0 1
to:
UUID=78fc6e4d-9a37-406d-9bde-449fd8595373 /media/Data ext4
noauto,x-systemd.automount,relatime 0 1

Now system fails to boot, in logs I see:
systemd[1]: Starting of media-Data.automount not supported.
systemd[1]: Dependency failed for Local File Systems.
systemd[1]: local-fs.target: Job local-fs.target/start failed with result
'dependency'.
systemd[1]: local-fs.target: Triggering OnFailure= dependencies.
systemd[1]: Started Emergency Shell.
systemd[1]: Reached target Emergency Mode.

While according to
http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/xenial/man5/systemd.mount.5.html it
should work.

I'm on Xenial as of today.

weird, gvfs-backends is on the default installation for sure, see e.g

can you add you /var/log/dpkg.log* to the bug?

[Bug 1617352] [NEW] RAM upgrade not take in account

2016-08-26 Thread bastet
Public bug reported:

My computer is a Acer Aspire 5735

The initial RAM was 2.9GO: 1 stick of 2GO and 1 of 1GO.
I substitute the 1GO stick by a 2GO.
The problem is that it isn't taken in count in the system monitor, and ubuntu
doesn't handel the 4GO (it uses swap when needs more than 2.9GO).
System monitor should show 4GO, but still shows only 2.9GO.

And free -h, returns:

Mem: [b]2,9G[/b]923M1,0G187M964M
  1,6G

Partition d'échange:5,2G 0B5,2G

lshw -c returns :

In the bios, the 4GO appears.

[Bug 792085] Re: Automatic remount of safely removed usb 3.0 drive

2016-08-26 Thread JK
Definitely not Nautilus related. The same occurs if you run “Disks”
utility, select a USB 3 disk and then “Power off” from the menu near the
top-right corner. To securely remove a USB 3 disk I unmount it first
then run “Disks” utility, select it and then press “Standby Now” from
the same menu. No problems so far. Could this be a temporary solution
until this is fixed?

Dear udisks developers (Martin Pitt, Tom Yan, Simon McVittie, Kylie
McClain, Mike Frysinger, Mathieu Trudel-Lapierre, Peter Hatina, Phillip
Susi)!

Please read this bug report carefully (especially comment 79

).
It seems that problem came from udisks.
Modern Fedora and RedHat are affected too
.
Arch is affected by this bug (see forum
).

It may cause data loss!
Please investigate, confirm and fix this bug!

Updated to Ubuntu 16.04 and the issue persists. How the importance of
this issue could be raised? USB 2 works fine, USB3 does not.

[Bug 296867] Re: Empathy needs to support OTR encryption

2016-08-26 Thread Mikaela Suomalainen
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1616956 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1616956

Could someone explain how OTR request is duplicate of OMEMO request?

As far as I am aware, Empathy supports multiple instant messaging
protocols which all support OTR as it's not tied to any specific
protocol. On the other hand OMEMO is XMPP-only and not yet formalized
XMPP extension, so by considering this as a duplicate I believe users of
those other protocols are left without option for end-to-end encryption.

sure, try to move the directory away if you want to keep it, that should
