[Bug 1631560] Re: Narrow spacing of icons in Files affects file names

2016-10-16 Thread Ari Torhamo
@ Sebastian Bacher: I found an existing bug report about this problem at Gnome
Bugzilla, and I added my comment to it:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=745968
The report and the latest comment are a year and a half old, but the bug is
marked as new. I guess it's better not to expect a quick patch.

@ dino99: Thanks for the workaround, dino99. It alleviated the problem
somewhat. It would help more if I'd decrease the font size further, but
the text would get too small then.

[Bug 1633979] [NEW] gnome-terminal appears in launcher twice when running

2016-10-16 Thread Chris Hermansen
Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu 16.10, I have gnome-terminal in my launcher. When I start it,
I see two terminals in the launcher - one representing the running
terminal(s), one that allows me to open another terminal. No other
application seems to behave this way. I don't believe this behaviour
was evident in 16.04.

FWIW I have Ubuntu Tweak Tool also installed and I have selected
minimize single window applications on click (which works). Also this
was an upgrade from 16.04.

ProblemType: Bug

Talked with the snappy people and they said they're working on a
solution to this. Once that exists we can make GNOME Software only
prompt for Ubuntu One credentials when required.

[Bug 1633853] [NEW] No notifications or action on low battery or battery critical since upgrade

2016-10-16 Thread Pablo180
Public bug reported:

During the upgrade to 16.10 it seems that the installer disabled my low
battery notifications and actions. However after installation was
complete it didn't re-enable them. Now I no longer get notifications nor
is any action taken on the thresholds set in DConf.

Things I have tried:

 - Reinstalling gnome-power-manager
 - Reinstalling indicator-power
 - Reinstalling libnotify-bin notify-osd
 - Checked and altered settings in DConf - they're all still there, just seem
to be ignored.

None of this worked. I'm obviously quite worried as don't know what will
happen if I leave my laptop to run down the battery.

*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1616943 ***

I'm not sure why this was marked as a duplicate of "Ubuntu Software asks
for an Ubuntu Single Sign-On account to install/remove a snap", as there
is no problem with the software centre asking for a login.

The problem is that the login component of it isn't working, the
original description could not be clearer of the problem:

I keep getting "Incorrect email or password" even though I know for a
fact the email and password are correct. I am able to sign into Ubuntu
One just fine on a web browser.

[Bug 1633826] [NEW] nautilus desktop crashes when called with --no-desktop

2016-10-16 Thread Fork
Public bug reported:

When calling nautilus with the --no-desktop flag in Ubuntu 16.10, the
existing desktop crashes with the following error:

(nautilus:3723): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **:
g_dbus_interface_skeleton_unexport: assertion
'interface_->priv->connections != NULL' failed

(nautilus:3723): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **:
g_dbus_interface_skeleton_unexport: assertion
'interface_->priv->connections != NULL' failed

This is relevant since e.g. the Dropbox indicator calls nautilus this
way, resulting in the desktop crashing.

[Bug 1633825] [NEW] System goes to emergency mode as /boot/efi could not be mounted

2016-10-16 Thread Prasanna Kumar
Public bug reported:

System was booting normally with 16.04. Upgraded to 16.10, system goes
to emergency console on every boot. This happened due to timeout in
mounting /boot/efi. Commented out /boot/efi entry in /etc/fstab. System
boots after that. But wifi, bluetooth and sound does not start
automatically now. I have to load iwlwifi module to start wifi,
snd_hda_intel to get sound working. I am using a Lenovo G50-80 laptop.
