[Bug 1693155] Re: Distorted blurry battery indicator in gnome-shell (using ubuntu-mono icons at default low-DPI scale 1.0)
"New icons" might not be strictly required. If someone can edit: /usr/share/icons/ubuntu-mono-dark/status/{22,24}/battery*.svg and change them to actual squares of the correct dimensions (22x22, 24x24) then I think that would be a proper fix. It does require editing (recentering) the curves though, and not just changing the canvas dimensions. So you would need a proper vector graphics editor. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1693155 Title: Distorted blurry battery indicator in gnome-shell (using ubuntu-mono icons at default low-DPI scale 1.0) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-themes/+bug/1693155/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1699660] [NEW] systemd-resolve breaks resolution of local network hostnames

[Bug 1693155] Re: Distorted blurry battery indicator in gnome-shell (using ubuntu-mono icons at default low-DPI scale 1.0)
Actually, this might work (and I apologise to design for troubling them if it does): 1. Ensure we use the SVGs from "22": /usr/share/icons/ubuntu-mono- dark/status/22/ 2. Fix gnome-shell to add square padding, avoiding distortion. The battery icons in 22/ have a narrower width (26x22 px) so should render to gnome-shell more clearly than 16/ (32x16px) or 24/ (32x24px) that would both pad out to 32x32 and then get scaled down too much to be readable. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1693155 Title: Distorted blurry battery indicator in gnome-shell (using ubuntu-mono icons at default low-DPI scale 1.0) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1693155/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1699557] [NEW] Evolution: send inline images as attachments
Public bug reported: Since I upgraded from Ubuntu 16 to Ubuntu 17, evolution has stopped working when sending HTML messages with inline images, copy/paste an image inside the body not as attachment. Previous to the update, the images were sent and received inside the HTML body and displayed correctly in the email content. Since I upgraded, the images are received as attachments and they aren't displayed inside the HTML message content. [Bug 1693089] Re: Cinnamon is not a recognized Desktop Environment before Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Accepting for Trusty. Precise is EOL, so I'm reluctant to break expectations by touching it. If you think an exception is warranted, perhaps ask ubuntu-release@? ** Description changed: Note Yes, I know precise is basically unsupported but it might be nice to fix Travis here anyway. Impact -- Cinnamon (and the less popular EDE and LXQt) desktops are not recognized by desktop-file-validate in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS or 14.04 LTS. This is a problem because the very popular Travis service for continuous integration (CI) on platforms like Github still uses 12.04 LTS. Travis does not offer a 16.04 platform and the 14.04 platform is still only in beta. This caused this pull request to fail its CI check: https://travis-ci.org/zdohnal/system-config-printer/builds/222023750 https://github.com/zdohnal/system-config-printer/pull/41 This SRU adds these Desktop Environments to the recognized list for 14.04 LTS: Cinnamon, EDE, LXQt. If accepted, 12.04 LTS will also add TDE. Test Case - 1. Save the following lines in a file named calc.desktop [Desktop Entry] Name=Calculator Exec=gnome-calculator Icon=accessories-calculator Type=Application OnlyShowIn=Cinnamon;LXQt;EDE; Categories=GNOME;GTK;Utility;Calculator; 2. Run desktop-file-validate calc.desktop The command should complete with no error message. A failure would look something like: calc.desktop: error: value "Cinnamon;LXQt;EDE;" for key "OnlyShowIn" in group "Desktop Entry" contains an unregistered value "Cinnamon"; values extending the format should start with "X-" Regression Potential - This only adds a few entries to the list of registered desktop environments. This change is backported from desktop-file-utils 0.23 which is in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. + + [racb] Could there be some behaviour change somewhere that was depending + somehow on Cinnamon's status being unregistered? For example in a test + suite's expected output somewhere? ** Changed in: desktop-file-utils (Ubuntu Trusty) Status: In Progress => Fix Committed ** Tags added: verification-needed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to desktop-file-utils in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1693089 Title: Cinnamon is not a recognized Desktop Environment before Ubuntu 16.04 LTS To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/desktop-file-utils/+bug/1693089/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 830348] Re: desktop contents briefly visible on resume from suspend before lock dialog
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1280300 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1280300 Yep still get it in 17.04, also to be noted is that while using vmware, the desktop does not lock until I click on something else, causing the vm to lose input focus. So I can leave my computer for far longer than the set lock time and it will not lock until somebody clicks somewhere on the unity launcher or another window. IDK how this has existed since 2011, this is a glaring security bug. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-screensaver in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/830348 Title: desktop contents briefly visible on resume from suspend before lock dialog To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/830348/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
