[Bug 1700247] [NEW] After update: download and pictures directories disappeared with their content

2017-06-24 Thread tuxayo
Public bug reported:

Context:
- System is in french.
- It's the laptop of the friend that I can contact to get more info.

After the update both folders "Téléchargements" and "Images" are missing.
"Bureau" (Desktop) and "Musique" (Music) are still there.

After searching with various ways, including with Baobab to find where the
several GB files went. Nothing could be found.
It seems also that the trash was emptied.

The issue was discovered the 15 june.

Here are some apt log to help finding which update could lead to that.

I associated the bug with nautilus because it's in charge of these
special folders. I suspected that for the some reason part the system
language changed and that it created the English of theses folder. But
after investigating, Chromium created a "Downloads" folder so that would
invalidate the first hypothesis.

Which additional info can I provide?

Additional info: "Musique" and "Vidéos" are still there but are empty.
"Documents" was untouched. (I don't know if this is relevant but between French
and English, the spelling is the same)

[Bug 1586835] Re: ssh-agent fighting gnome-keyring on Ubuntu Gnome 16.04

2017-06-24 Thread Jonathan Gossage
I am also experiencing this problem on Ubuntu 17.04. I have seen
suggestions in Internet forums that Gnome Keyring does not properly
support all SSH key formats. I was using a 4096 bit RSA key in the
situation that failed. When I changed to a 2048 bit RSA key the problem
disappeared.

[Bug 1700319] [NEW] GTK3 menus don't work over SSH forwarding

2017-06-24 Thread Matthew Swabey
Public bug reported:

When connecting remotely (either SSH X11 forwarding or direct to X11
server), drop down menus do not display properly.

Bug upstream in gtk3:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=780101

Client: Ubuntu 17.04 - gtk3-3.22.11-0ubuntu3
Server: Windows 10 Cygwin/X 1.19.2-1

Programs exhibiting this problem:
evince 3.24.0 (and any other gtk3 apps with menus along the top).

Patch applied to gtk3 in cygwin to fix this problem and attached to this post:
https://github.com/cygwinports/gtk3/blob/master/3.22.10-xrandr12-compat.patch

Console errors:

(evince:7390): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_dbus_proxy_get_name_owner:
assertion 'G_IS_DBUS_PROXY (proxy)' failed

(evince:7390): GLib-WARNING **: GError set over the top of a previous GError or
