[Bug 771272] Re: gnome-keyring doesn't support ecdsa or ed25519 keys

2017-06-25 Thread Stephane Lapie
Used the workaround in #12, but it is still a major annoyance that
gnome-keyring-daemon does not handle this.

You're correct that the bug in that link is different. However, the
identical issue has been replicated by me and several office mates in
nautalis, chromium and firefox running independently installed and
configured versions of ubuntu gnome 16.04.2. Re add chromium here?

Also, do you want screen shots/video of the problem? A perhaps more
detailed description of the problem is that sometimes when you get
mouseover text, at least in gnome, there appers to be a large indent
before the text blocking all or part of it from being displayed. If you
mouse off and mouse back on getting the mouseover text again, the issue
temporarily goes away.

[Bug 1687246] Re: GNOME Shell should support fractional (non-integer) Hi-DPI scaling

2017-06-25 Thread Daniel van Vugt
No, I think bug 1687245 might be a slightly different issue. And even if
it was the same issue as this one, this bug has more details so should
remain the primary bug for fractional scaling. But again, it's possible
the lock screen scaling is a different problem.

[Bug 1698547] Re: pasting into gnome-terminal pastes into a different terminal window

2017-06-25 Thread Paul
Yes, it's very rare, only happened to me twice so far since upgrading to
17.04. Unfortunately, I don't know what triggers it.

Never use terminal tabs so I didn't think to test that. Nor
Shift+Insert, although since even clipboard paste is affected, it's
likely that Shift+Insert is too.

This is a fairly stock Ubuntu-Gnome 17.04 on Xorg.

[Bug 1698547] Re: pasting into gnome-terminal pastes into a different terminal window

2017-06-25 Thread Egmont Koblinger
I haven't seen anything like this...

Do the pastes go to a particular window (the active tab within,
whichever that is), or to a particular terminal tab (even if that's not
the selected tab within its window)?

Is pasting with Shift+insert also buggy?

How hard is it to reproduce? How often does it occur for you?

What desktop environment (e.g. Unity) and graphical system (e.g. X11) do
you use?

[Bug 1610944] Re: GNOME Online Accounts breaks if you log out (until you reboot)

2017-06-25 Thread Jeremy Bicha
** Description changed:

+ Impact
+ ==
+ After logging out, GNOME Online Accounts doesn't work the next time you log
in.
+
+ This bug was a Release Blocker for Fedora 26. (Fedora 26 will be
+ released in July).
+
+ Test Case
+ =
+ From Ubuntu GNOME, click Settings>Online Accounts and add your Google
account. Install Evolution if it's not installed. Verified that your Google
account has synced.
+
+ Log out. Log in. It may help to reproduce the bug log in to a different
+ session (GNOME on Wayland instead of GNOME, or the other way around).
+
+ Open Evolution. Verify that no errors are reported and that your Google
+ account is still syncing.
+
+ After installing the gnome-session update, I recommend rebooting once to
+ clear any old lingering GNOME Online Accounts processes from previous
+ sessions.
+
+ Regression Potential
+
+ This fix is the same as was accepted into Fedora 26. It is a workaround by
killing all the user's D-Bus sessions when the user logs out. This fix has been
backported from gnome-session 3.25.3. It has not been applied to the 3.24 git
branch upstream.
+
+ Since 16.10 has almost reached its end of life (July), I am not
+ proposing this fix there. I believe 16.10 is the first release affected
+ since Ubuntu moved many more services to systemd user sessions in that
+ release.
+
+ The patch tries to only kill the D-Bus sessions if the session being
+ logged out is the final remaining session for the user.
+
+ The workaround makes sense to me. It seems similar to the
+ KillUserProcesses option that was pushed into systemd to fix this kind
+ of problem but it's more limited than the systemd method so hopefully it
+ won't be as controversial.

faded, can't click.

[Bug 1700382] [NEW] Boot times slow when LXD installed, due to poorly crafted systemd dependency chain

2017-06-25 Thread David Favor
Public bug reported:

Notice the time spent inside lxd-containers.service + lxd.service which
require network + disk subsystems to work before they can work.

This behavior can be recreated by installing + configuring LXD, with no
containers.

Both lxd-containers.service + lxd.service should be run asynchronously
or at end of boot process.

Boot should never hang waiting on these to finish.

Fixing this, will reduce boot time by 20secs or 10% of total boot time for this
machine.

[Bug 1580168] Re: Tab descriptions are unreadable, black text on black background

2017-06-25 Thread Olivier Tilloy
The chromium bug in comment #7 is
https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=442111, but from
the original bug description it doesn't appear to be the same bug as
reported by Aki.

** No longer affects: chromium-browser (Ubuntu)
