[Bug 1741839] [NEW] gdm3 lock screen (not log in) freezes sometime

[Bug 1723857] Re: onscreen keyboard appears whenever i touch touchscreen
@Andrea Azzar, would it be in the realm of the possible to implement an option in caribou/gnome-shell where the people who still want to use it, can turn off the auto popup feature (the one where caribou pops up whenever an editable area is selected). Leave it to us to swipe the bottom of the screen to bring it up? Well, I do not have 'Sticky keys' enabled now, and I doubt I ever did. Re: [Bug 1721637] Re: can't open system settings(Ubuntu 17.10), icon is visible but settings don't dislay
Hi! To disable the phantom monitor, hit the super key (the one with the Windows logo on it), the type Display. The app that handles the displays will be shown, click on it. Once there, you're see two monitors, the real one to the left and the phantom one to the right. Click on it and disable it choosing the appropriate control (I don't have Ubuntu installed anymore, so I'm telling you this by memory). It should be labeled "Activate", "Enabled" or something similar. Hope this helps! [Bug 1706476] Re: Mysterious shadow around window when check marking an option box inside of window
Daniel, I know it's been some time since we've commented on this and I just wanted to come back and comment again about the status of all of this. This graphical issue is still occurring and like you, it happens when I resize the window with the cursor (click/hold/drag to desired size). I recently started Chromium to narrow down if it's a broad issue (such as a CPU/GPU issue) or just program issue. Chromium doesn't exhibit this odd behavior so I'm feeling confident that my theory that Firefox uses code that doesn't quite agree with Wayland or my hardware could be the root cause. I'm very confident that it'll be mitigated eventually. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1706476 Title: Mysterious shadow around window when check marking an option box inside of window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1706476/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

When I start it from console, I only get these warnings: *** $ epiphany (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE (epiphany:9764): Wnck-WARNING **: Unhandled action type _OB_WM_ACTION_UNDECORATE *** I would like to know how to get epiphany to work right away after starting it the first time, if possible to get it to work right away? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to epiphany-browser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1737083 Title: Epiphany does not start To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/epiphany-browser/+bug/1737083/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1737083] Re: Epiphany does not start
Hi, I am using Ubuntu 16.04 perfectly up to date, with an Openbox environment which makes use of openbox-menu. (https://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/openbox-menu ) I also have lxpanel, with a classic menu. My version of lxpanel is 0.8.2-1ubuntu2 (There is a version of it being 9.3 upstream). My version openbox-menu is 0.8.0-1. Openbox-menu makes use of the menu-cache lib from the lxde project… Strangely, when invoked using the Applications menu in the Openbox menu, Web (epiphany-browser) starts fine! When I add a quick start button in the quick start applications bar in lxpanel, a simple click does not start it, a double click starts 2 instances of it. I does not start at all when using the Lxpanel menu "Internet > Web". I have tried to remove all ~/.cache/menu/* files, and restart the session. I think "Web" could be started once from the menus, then no more. I have tried to start "epiphany" from the console, it worked every time. I will also add my "_usr_bin_epiphany.1000.crash" file as a zip attachment. ** Attachment added: "_usr_bin_epiphany.1000.crash.zip" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/epiphany-browser/+bug/1737083/+attachment/5032247/+files/_usr_bin_epiphany.1000.crash.zip -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to epiphany-browser in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1737083 Title: Epiphany does not start To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/epiphany-browser/+bug/1737083/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1741715] [NEW] gnome-sushi crashing frequently each time it was used
Public bug reported: 1) Release Ubuntu 17.10 2)Package version gnome-shell 3.26.2-0ubuntu0.1 3) What is expected gnome-sushi is activated by spacebar when an item is selected in nautilus window, the contents of image, text, video or music are previewed, after one more spacebar press, the preview window should close 4) What happens instead gnome-sushi is activated as usual, it shows the preview as expected. But after I close the preview windows, soon after I get the Ubuntu internal error message dialog box. Here are the links to crash reports I have uploaded about gnome-sushi https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/0d1168ea-d6b5-11e7-916d-fa163e8d4bab https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/01d585ba-c08f-11e7-9be5-fa163e30221b https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/11715928-bd28-11e7-b6c1-fa163ebeb28a https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/10319f70-bb87-11e7-a01b-fa163eec78fa ** Affects: gnome-sushi (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Package changed: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) => gnome-sushi (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1741715 Title: gnome-sushi crashing frequently each time it was used To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-sushi/+bug/1741715/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1741245] Re: gnome-shell freezes and crashes upon usb drive insertion
Hi, thanks for pointing out what to do.. There was gnome-shell related crash file under /var/crash/, and since usually I file error report after each crash there were .upload and .uploaded files as well. Here are the file names: var/crash/_usr_bin_gnome-shell.1000.crash /var/crash/_usr_bin_gnome-shell.1000.upload /var/crash/_usr_bin_gnome-shell.1000.uploaded Then I ran the ubuntu-bug on the crash file, I got internal error message window, I selected "send error report" and clicked "Continue" (I'm not sure if the errors.ubuntu.com showing recent reports from my machine, because I didnt see the report I sent today (Jan 7, 2018) Then, I did the second thing you mentioned, here's the link to error reports from my machine at errors.ubuntu.com https://errors.ubuntu.com/oops/1262ee46-bb11-11e7-8683-fa163ef911dc But, I sent many crash reports about gnome-shell, I only saw one from Oct 27th, 2017. I also didn't see the report I just uploaded with "ubuntu-bug" today. Should I upload the recent crash report here, is it secure to do so? By the way, the crash file is 200 MB in size..
