[Bug 1181666] Re: gnome-shell randomly blocks mouse clicks from working in app windows
After recently fixing bug 1739625, I now think some instances of this bug will be similar to that -- a missing call to clutter_actor_set_reactive(). Windows won't respond to mouse clicks until mutter calls that function for them. And there are various classes of application that will call that function under different circumstances. Bug 1739625 only covered one very specific case. We may need to split this bug into many again if more such fixes land separately and only address a subset of applications. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1181666 Title: gnome-shell randomly blocks mouse clicks from working in app windows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1181666/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1021375] Re: Nautilus says the USB stick is read only when it is not
The same problem can happen in Thunar. For some cases Nautilus itself needs an additional patch, but the underlying problem was identified and fixed in glib. Unfortunately the fixed version is not available in Ubuntu yet. Looking through the individual crashers that happened today, there's something common in the 50 or so I clicked through. They're *all* running kernel 4.4 or below (one person was on 3.13). Nobody seems to be on the HWE kernels. So perhaps there's something which mitigates this issue in HWE kernels. If Robert was debugging and trying to reproduce locally, perhaps he's on a HWE kernel which might be why he can't reproduce? https://errors.ubuntu.com/problem/70c23d0f4e2be24b26672427d4218dc8f0823597 - scroll down and (if you have access) click through each crash instance in turn. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1648534 Title: gnome-software crashed with SIGTRAP in g_wakeup_new from g_main_context_new from g_dbus_connection_send_message_with_reply_sync from g_dbus_connection_call_sync_internal from g_dbus_connection_call_sync To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1648534/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
