[Bug 1788553] [NEW] evolution's maillist dispay error when contains Chinese or Japanese
Public bug reported: Hi, there is a small bug bothering me long time. I use evolution under Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, the mail lists do not well displayed when there contains Chinese or Japanese. Ideally, the text of mail list should be in center in vertical direction each row, and it does so when there is only English. But once the text contain Chinese or Japanese, the text moves down and its bottom part will not display. Please see my attachment. Firstly,I thought it might be a evolution bug, so I filed a bug here,[bugzilla bug id 796437](https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=796437) ,but the developer can't reproduce this bug on Fedora, so he didn't solve my problem. After that,I tried all themes shipped with Ubuntu 18.04 and some third- party themes to see if it helps, nothing changes. Also, due to the developers who use Fedora say he can't reproduce the bug, I tried Manjaro Gnome in virtualbox too,no problem observed, both default themes and third-party themes. So, maybe it is Ubuntu's setting which cause this bug in summary. ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "screenshot about maillist" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1788553/+attachment/5179559/+files/Screenshot+from+2018-08-23+13-48-30.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1788553 Title: evolution's maillist dispay error when contains Chinese or Japanese To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/+bug/1788553/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1788546] [NEW] gnome-shell silently fails to login when user files are owned by another user
Public bug reported: If you change the ownership of files in /home/ to another user, you can no longer log into 's gnome-shell session - instead, you are either returned to the gdm login screen or the computer locks up. This is even the case if .config and .local and .cache are completely empty. gdm/gnome-shell does not tell you what the error is, so it is very annoying trying to figure out how to fix it. It would be great if the user got an error message explaining the issue and how to fix it. [Bug 1181666] Re: gnome-shell randomly blocks mouse clicks from working in app windows
Until I performed the last update on 2018-08-16, I was not experiencing this issue. Now I started to experience random mouse clicks misses with no apparent pattern, making the usage very annoying but not impossible. Usually I misses the first clicks right after I move the mouse to the desired position. Usually the first few clicks after I stop moving are ignored but if I insist pressing it, it is eventually computed. The mouse over events are working properly because links on the browser and button highlights change as expected so it appears that only the clicks are affected. The problem always happens when I switch applications using the mouse (the first click never works). The same happens when I activate a context menu. The only relevant package installed that day was linux- modules-4.15.0-32-generic but a few days earlier, gdm3 was also upgraded. I'm using bionic X64 with XOrg using RX480 with amdgpu-pro drivers and Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1181666 Title: gnome-shell randomly blocks mouse clicks from working in app windows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1181666/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1633522] Re: gnome-control-center is missing items when run from the top ribbon in Xfce
GNOME Control Center needs to be run with GNOME since it depends on various gnome-settings-daemon processes to be running. As a workaround, you can try running XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP=GNOME gnome-control-center but that isn't supported. gnome-control-center in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS was supported by the Ubuntu GNOME project for 3 years until April 2017. After that, every time a new terminal window is launched it is greyed out and must be forcibly terminated. No keyboard input is ever shown in the terminal window. Things go back to normal if the DE session is restarted. Thank you. [Bug 1788359] [NEW] Theme parsing errors on Kubuntu 18.04
Public bug reported: After upgrading to Kubuntu 18.04 from 16.04.5 LTS I get the following messages running a zenity dialog: (zenity:30525): Gtk-WARNING **: 10:08:11.591: Theme parsing error: gtk.css:68:35: The style property GtkButton:child-displacement-x is deprecated and shouldn't be used anymore. I don't think this is in any way related to the KDE Plasma desktop though; looks like a number of deprecations resulting from a Gtk version bump. [Bug 1774957] Re: Network icons in status menu disappearing
I could hot-fix this problem by changing network configuration via nm- connection-editor. In my case the "Connection priority for auto- activation" was set to -999 for one Ethernet configuration. After changing it to 0 and reconnect, the icons re-appeared. So it is maybe an issue of malformed/weird configuration. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1774957 Title: Network icons in status menu disappearing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1774957/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
