[Bug 1763892] Re: 144Hz/120Hz monitor but mutter seems to cap rendering at 60FPS
When this bug was first reported in 17.10 it was a Wayland-only bug and the fix for that is awaiting review: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/merge_requests/171 However since 18.04, a patch was introduced to Ubuntu/Debian that seems to be affecting Xorg sessions now too. [Bug 1778011] Re: SRU: PRIME Power Saving mode draws too much power
@Andrew, @Alberto: Looks like many Thinkpad X1 Extreme users are reporting the same issue where prime-select seems to work but does not power of the nvidia card nor shows up in nvidia-settings. [Bug 1769383] Re: Ubuntu dock/launcher is shown on the lock screen
This seems like a duplicate of #1716982, but maybe it's a regression after that was fixed. Anyway, commenter ernstp identifies the cause in comment #12 [1]: > Is it some global variable name conflict between the two extensions? "dockManager" perhaps? You can edit /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/ubuntu- d...@ubuntu.com/extension.js to check for a null dockManager in the disable() function. That is, change dockManager.destroy() to if (dockManager != null) { dockManager.destroy(); } and the dock disappears when the screen is locked, as expected. I'm guessing the problem is that Dash To Dock sets dockManager to null after calling destroy(), and then Ubuntu Dock throws a TypeError when it tries to do the same, so Ubuntu Dock never reaches the ExtensionSystem.disconnect() call. [Bug 1802331] [NEW] Drop down menus appear in wrong position when using multiple monitors arranged vertically
Public bug reported: I am using multiple monitors arranged as shown below: ++++ |__3_||__2_| |||| ++++ +-+ |1| |_| +-+ Monitors 1 and 3 have different resolutions (1920x1080 and 1600x900) and are arranged so that their right edges align. When opening a drop down menu (such as the 'File' menu in terminal) that appears to the top left of a full-screen application on monitor 3, the drop down menu position is offset horizontally. It is as if menus that appear at the left of monitor 3 are 'pushed' to the right so that they are in line with monitor 1. The attached screen capture shows roughly where the File menu drop down appears. Menus on monitors 1 and 2 appear in the expected location.
