[Bug 1810382] Re: Gnome software error posting a review for snap app
@azzar1 correct the upstream change made the snaps reviewable, however the ubuntu-reviews plugin suppresses the ODRS plugin so reviews fail to be posted. We should have patched the NOT_REVIEWABLE quick back in. I agree it's easier to move forwards and SRU the ODRS change back to Cosmic (bug 1815708). It's been long enough in Disco now to have some confidence this works well. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1810382 Title: Gnome software error posting a review for snap app To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1810382/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1815708] [NEW] Use ODRS for reviews
Public bug reported: [Impact] The Ubuntu review server is being retired which will cause all Ubuntu package reviews to stop working. We are switching to using the Open Desktop Review Service (https://odrs.gnome.org/). This plugin has existed for sometime in the GNOME Software source, so it is well tested. This change will allow Snap packages to be reviewed (new feature). [Test Case] 1. Open GNOME Software 2. Select a popular app (e.g. Firefox) [Expected Result] Reviews are shown for this package. They will be different to the previous reviews. You are able to create reviews for both .deb and snap apps. [Regression Potential] There is a risk of new bugs encountered in the ODRS plugin. This has been enabled in Disco without major issue and has been used in other distributions for many releases. ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Status: Fix Released ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Xenial) Importance: Medium Status: New ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Bionic) Importance: Medium Status: New ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Cosmic) Importance: Medium Status: New ** Affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Disco) Importance: Medium Status: Fix Released ** Also affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Xenial) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Bionic) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Disco) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: gnome-software (Ubuntu Cosmic) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Disco) Status: New => Fix Released ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Disco) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Cosmic) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Bionic) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: gnome-software (Ubuntu Xenial) Importance: Undecided => Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-software in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1815708 Title: Use ODRS for reviews To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-software/+bug/1815708/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures. The behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible). [Bug 1745334] [NEW] Top bar and dock do not go transparent when Gnome-Web is playing video
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Top bar and dock not transparent when Gnome-Web is playing video. The expected behaviour is that these be transparent like every other application. Also, the application will open OpenGL Render in the dock when playing videos, which is unactionable and may be confusing to intermediate users. [Bug 1769192] [NEW] Firefox Sync verification prompt and preferences lock background windows
You have been subscribed to a public bug: The GNOME Web/Epiphany Web Browser 'Preferences' screen locks onto the foreground, forbidding any action in the background web browser windows. This is not generally an issue until/unless the user wants to set up the Firefox Sync service, located within Preferences, which in turn requires a verification link sent via email to be opened up within the browser. If the user does not have another browser installed and/or an email client with built-in browser set up, the user is forced into downloading, installing, and using another browser temporarily to sign in. [Bug 1810382] Re: Gnome software error posting a review for snap app
It looks like that since https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome- software/commit/e54b31cc85ddef6f9579cb85bbdf53dbb9d9091d snaps are no longer marked AS_APP_QUIRK_NOT_REVIEWABLE. [Bug 1815602] [NEW] [SRU] Update epiphany-browser to 3.28.5 in Bionic
Public bug reported: Impact: 3.28.5 - September 21, 2018 === This release is intended to fix video playback on YouTube. We believe that YouTube began requiring media source extensions to play WebM videos on Tuesday of this week, so we have enabled it. You are strongly encouraged to update to WebKitGTK+ 2.22.2 and the forthcoming GStreamer 1.14.4 to minimize video playback disruptions. It's not really reliable enough to be enabled yet, but it's a whole lot better than no YouTube. 3.28.4 - September 2, 2018 == - Improve performance of adblocker (#37) - Ensure correct address is displayed in security popover when starting loads (#503) - Fix crash on homedepot.com - Improve use of Safe Browsing threat lists - Fix miscellaneous memory leaks 3.28.3.1 - June 8, 2018 === - Fix missing symbol in 3.28.3 (#33) 3.28.3 - June 7, 2018 = - Fix CVE-2018-11396/CVE-2018-12016 (#795740) - Allow Ctrl+T in app mode again due to unintended consequences (#796204) - Don't remember passwords when the setting is disabled (#796219) - Fix password manager crash on chase.com (GitLab #11) 3.28.2.1 - May 22, 2018 === - New release because I pushed the 3.28.2 tag too soon. 3.28.2 - May 21, 2018 = - Again disallow Ctrl+T in app mode (#795007) - Remove problematic adblock filters (#796245) - Fix crashes when signing out of Firefox Sync (Gabriel Ivascu) 3.28.1.1 - April 19, 2018 = - Fix two crashes (#783756 and #794784/#795370) Test case: -- - Run GNOME Web as usual and browse to different websites. - Play videos on YouTube since this update fixes video playback on YouTube.
