[Bug 185165] Re: Ubuntu does not open MS Windows internet shortcuts with 'url' extension

2019-03-01 Thread Dmitri
If someone is still interested in opening .url files, I created a simple debian
package that handle this.
It opens URL in the default browser using xdg-open.

It isn't (except that if apport-bug were working, it would have made
sure the bug was filed against the right package!). Sorry, it's easy to
make a mistake when filing a bug manually.

Installed new mutter from proposed today and... Well it didn't crash my

to me. Hopefully others can also install / confirm / deny.

[Bug 1815708] Re: Use ODRS for reviews

2019-03-01 Thread Steve Langasek
Hello Robert, or anyone else affected,

Accepted gnome-software into cosmic-proposed. The package will build now
and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-
software/3.30.2-0ubuntu10 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed
repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how
to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this
update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested and change the tag from
verification-needed-cosmic to verification-done-cosmic. If it does not
fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the
tag to verification-failed-cosmic. In either case, without details of
your testing we will not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s)
fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in
-proposed for a minimum of 7 days.

[Bug 1818274] [NEW] Cannot change screenshot directory

2019-03-01 Thread fcole90
Public bug reported:

Expected:
Be able to change the directory where the screenshots are saved, either from
Settings (GUI) or from gsettings (cli).

What happens:
Screenshots are unconditionally saved to the Pictures directory
(XDG_PICTURES_DIR).

Temporary Workaround:
Use a specific extension: Screenshot Locations
(https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1179/screenshot-locations/)

Previous discussion:
The bug was previously reported 5 years ago on bugzilla 699642
(https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=699642) and closed as WONTFIX.
I'm reporting here again, as I hope the time is ripe for a reconsideration,
given how many users are affected and willing to see this solved.

[Bug 1750151] Re: Full Microsoft OneDrive support for gnome-control-center and nautilus

2019-03-01 Thread Edson C da Silva
I am returning to the Launchpad after a few years away from Ubuntu and
started searching for some bugs / wishlists that interested me.

In this one, unfortunately I apparently changed a status while trying to
click on the helper to get more information. I would like to apologize
for the inconvenience.

Having more complete support for OneDrive on Ubuntu would be really
cool.

[Bug 1801757] Re: all app indicators disappear

2019-03-01 Thread Jonathan Kamens
As described above, the indicators disappear intermittently and come
back when I type Alt-F2 r RET. It seems to happen when the screen locks
automatically and then I come back later and unlock it, though I don't
know if it happens _every_ time the screen locks. I've attached my
journalctl output for today with unrelated, private information removed.
I've returned to my computer at least twice today and found the
indicators missing, the most recent time being for the session I'm
sitting in front of right now, i.e., if you can see in the journalctl
when my screen locks and unlocks, then this problem manifested in the
most recent iteration of that.

[Bug 1818246] Re: update-notifier's notification is huge due to large icon

[Bug 1763892] Re: 144Hz/120Hz monitor but mutter seems to cap rendering at 60FPS

2019-03-01 Thread Timo Aaltonen
Hello Knut, or anyone else affected,

Accepted mutter into cosmic-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/3.30.2-1~ubuntu18.10.4 in a
few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how
to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this
update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested and change the tag from
verification-needed-cosmic to verification-done-cosmic. If it does not
fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the
tag to verification-failed-cosmic. In either case, without details of
your testing we will not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance for helping!

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s)
fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in
-proposed for a minimum of 7 days.

Indeed this is not related to Android and it should be better upstream.
Thanks Daniel.

Although removing the Animation alleviates a lot the problem, it does not solve
it.
Furthermore, it is not only Ubuntu problem. It appears to my Fedora, pretty
similar to what I see in Ubuntu. And it appears (in both) very few times after
