[Bug 1853440] Re: Volume either 0 or 100% on Lenovo X1 Carbon G7
There is a fix for this issue. commit d2cd795c4ece1a24fda170c35eeb4f17d9826cbb Author: Jaroslav Kysela Date: Fri Nov 29 15:40:27 2019 +0100 ALSA: hda - fixup for the bass speaker on Lenovo Carbon X1 7th gen The auto-parser assigns the bass speaker to DAC3 (NID 0x06) which is without the volume control. I do not see a reason to use DAC2, because the shared output to all speakers produces the sufficient and well balanced sound. The stereo support is enough for this purpose (laptop). [Bug 1856425] Re: Gnome Shell crashs sporadically
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps: 1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run: ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug. 2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine. Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please send the links to us. 3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921, reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1. Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security risk for yourself. ** Tags added: eoan ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1856425 Title: Gnome Shell crashs sporadically To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1856425/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1856491] Re: after suspend system freezes for a while after mouting new device
To diagnose this problem please collect a system log that covers just the period of time of the suspend/resume/freezing... 1. Open a Terminal window and run: journalctl -f > journal.txt 2. Reproduce the freezing problem noting the time on the Gnome Shell clock that it happened at. 3. In the Terminal hit Ctrl+C 4. Attach the file 'journal.txt' to this bug and tell us the exact time the freeze happened at. P.S. Please also try uninstalling extension 'temperature@xtranophilist' as it is not one that we support directly. ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Tags added: nvidia -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1856491 Title: after suspend system freezes for a while after mouting new device To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1856491/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1856479] [NEW] Document Viewer displays the first page on the right side instead of the left when I select "Dual" in the view menu, despite the PDF being multiple pages (more than 2)
Public bug reported: When I opened a PDF in Document Viewer, and then set the view mode to "dual", I noticed how the pdf application put the first page on the right side, which does not look as good as putting the page on the left side and page 2 on the right side. [Bug 1856465] [NEW] Apport icon did not appear in gnome even though it was running and displaying windows.
Public bug reported: When I attempted to send a bug report for gnome-control-center via terminal, the Apport window appeared saying "Collecting information". However, the gnome side-dock did not display the apport logo at all, only the system monitor, systems-settings, and every other running program with windows being displayed. I expected the Apport icon to appear on the side-dock. It never did, and I was unable to see the report or send it as a result, except by opening Notifications and clicking "Ubuntu is ready".
