You have been subscribed to a public bug: I am running the regular edition of Ubuntu. I have my system set to the nl_NL locale. The clock display on the top bar of gnome-shell is displayed as "vr mrt 6 23:45:01". While the individual parts are translated correctly, the order is not. It should be "vr 6 mrt 23:45:01". Steps to reproduce: - Install in Dutch - Observe that the clock in the top bar shows the month name before the day. Other notes: - Bug is present in at least 18.04, 19.04, 19.10 and the upcoming 20.04 - Adding/removing parts to the date (like weekday, seconds, etc.) using gnome-tweaks does not make any difference: all combinations have this wrong date order. ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment -- gnome-shell displays date incorrectly for nl_NL locale https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1866419 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1866457] [NEW] gnome-shell crashes every time I unlock my screen
Public bug reported: After a recent "apt upgrade", for about 4 days gnome-shell crashes every time I lock/unlock my screen. Disabling the screen lock lets me run X and Wayland sessions with GNOME indefinitely. Manually locking my screen or letting it lock automatically causes gnome-shell to crash when I try to unlock it. When it crashes, it hangs for a long time without updating the mouse cursor (probably writing the large core dump), then finally dies and the window system restarts and I can log in. I've disabled all GNOME extensions and tried some other configuration changes but I can't find a work-around except to avoid the lock screen.
