Public bug reported: Package: evince Version: 3.34.1-1 In the up-to-date Ubuntu 19.10 "eoan", Evince crashes when searching in a particular long PDF file. I open the file, press Ctrl+F to open a search string box, and type in some string that occurs in the document. Then, Evince starts searching, jumps to the first occurrence, and displays a thin progress bar while continuing searching. Evince doesn't terminate: about the middle of the search process, evince crashes: $ evince .pdf munmap_chunk(): invalid pointer Abgebrochen (Speicherabzug geschrieben) Unfortunately, I cannot share my PDF file due to legal reasons. Hi Daniel, thanks for looking into it. Yes I have system load indicator running, cpu load is not there if I turn it off. It is probably cause of the problem. Then GDM starts, and performs a fade-in animation of background gradient, and fade-ins Ubuntu logo. This results in visual flicker, where Ubuntu logo temporarily dissappears and instantly fades back in. This should be more smooth. For example, gdm could paint ubuntu logo at 100% opacity white without animation, whilst everything else fades-in. [Bug 1865845] Re: No UI indication for fingerprint enrolling progress
after IHV changed the driver, the UI indication shows during enrollment. It caused by the driver holding signals untile enrollment done. But there's still an issue that will confuse the user that IHV driver asks for 12 enrollments but the MAX_ENROLL_STAGES is 10. This means the UI indication of the final 2 enrollments is hidden. Possibly the pixels under the scrollbar are being painted as white before the scrollbar itself gets painted.
