[Bug 1691678] Re: Scrollbars escape the bottom and right side of the Terminal window by 1px
Actually the proper solution to comment #28 would be to change to overlay scrollbars, which is already covered by bug 1451924. It's still a different bug to this one, but if implemented it would close this bug nicely. If we just wanted to work on this bug without doing bug 1451924 then that would involve replacing the white background with the actual terminal background colour. Kind of similar to scrollbar-background- theming.patch but in a way that would actually be upstreamable... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-terminal in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1691678 Title: Scrollbars escape the bottom and right side of the Terminal window by 1px To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-terminal/+bug/1691678/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Open Settings 2. Select Displays panels Expected result: Scale can be set to fractional values (e.g. 125%). There is a UI control to enable fractional scaling (disabled by default). Observed result: Scale can only be set to multiples of 100% unless the feature was enabled. No UI control is shown for Fractional scaling. [Bug 1867977] Re: Gnome shell crashed when attempt to lock screen / open app drawer with an active window
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps: 1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run: ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug. 2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine. Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please send the links to us. 3. If step 2 also failed then apply the workaround from bug 994921, reboot, reproduce the crash, and retry step 1. Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are unable to process them as file attachments. It would also be a security risk for yourself. ** Tags added: eoan ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1867977 Title: Gnome shell crashed when attempt to lock screen / open app drawer with an active window To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1867977/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

If you haven't yet rebooted since the crash then please run: journalctl -b0 > journal.txt If you have rebooted once since the crash then please run: journalctl -b-1 > prevboot.txt And in either case attach the resulting text file here. ** Summary changed: - gdm3 crashed with signal 5 in g_main_context_new() + gdm3 crashed with signal 5 in g_wakeup_new() from g_main_context_new() from g_dbus_connection_send_message_with_reply_sync() ** Changed in: gdm3 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Information type changed from Private to Public -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm3 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1867667 Title: gdm3 crashed with signal 5 in g_wakeup_new() from g_main_context_new() from g_dbus_connection_send_message_with_reply_sync() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/1867667/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1868001] [NEW] Disk Capacity Does Not Show All Storage Space
Public bug reported: There are currently six storage devices attached to my machine, all of which get activated and mounted on boot. The primary being the 250GB NVMe device the OS is installed and run on, the secondary being a 2TB software RAID of 4x500GB disks, and the third being a 5TB USB-connected WD portable HDD. All of these are given mountpoints via the system fstab, but only a portion of the available disk space appears to be shown in Settings. 2.3TB as opposed to the actual ~7TB. Installed 1:3.36.0-0ubuntu2 Here's a `df` of my mounts, excluding loops and tmps: ``` Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on /dev/nvme0n1p3 234375168 75058756 157696300 33% / /dev/nvme0n1p3 234375168 75058756 157696300 33% /home /dev/nvme0n1p2 968312146420 755488 17% /boot /dev/nvme0n1p1 997456 7980 989476 1% /boot/efi /dev/sda 1953546336 49408652 1903183076 3% /mnt/storageRAID /dev/sdd 4883737600 306627148 4576010100 7% /mnt/Archive ``` I've also attached a screenshot of what Settings displays. `inxi -Fxzc0`: ``` System:Kernel: 5.4.0-18-generic x86_64 bits: 64 compiler: gcc v: 9.2.1 Desktop: Gnome 3.35.91 Distro: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) Machine: Type: Desktop Mobo: ASUSTeK model: PRIME B350-PLUS v: Rev X.0x serial: UEFI: American Megatrends v: 5407 date: 12/31/2019 CPU: Topology: 8-Core model: AMD Ryzen 7 2700 bits: 64 type: MT MCP arch: Zen+ rev: 2 L2 cache: 4096 KiB flags: avx avx2 lm nx pae sse sse2 sse3 sse4_1 sse4_2 sse4a ssse3 svm bogomips: 108800 Speed: 1377 MHz min/max: 1550/3400 MHz Core speeds (MHz): 1: 1376 2: 1374 3: 1373 4: 1377 5: 1378 6: 1374 7: 1377 8: 1378 9: 1377 10: 1376 11: 1377 12: 1377 13: 1375 14: 1374 15: 1371 16: 1377 Graphics: Device-1: AMD Navi 10 [Radeon RX 5600 OEM/5600 XT / 5700/5700 XT] vendor: XFX Pine driver: amdgpu v: kernel bus ID: 0c:00.0 Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.20.7 driver: amdgpu resolution: 3840x1080~144Hz OpenGL: renderer: AMD NAVI10 (DRM 3.35.0 5.4.0-18-generic LLVM 9.0.1) v: 4.6 Mesa 20.0.0 direct render: Yes Audio: Device-1: Creative Labs Sound Core3D [Sound Blaster Recon3D / Z-Series] driver: snd_hda_intel v: kernel bus ID: 09:00.0 Device-2: AMD Navi 10 HDMI Audio driver: snd_hda_intel v: kernel bus ID: 0c:00.1 Device-3: AMD Family 17h HD Audio vendor: ASUSTeK driver: snd_hda_intel v: kernel bus ID: 0e:00.3 Device-4: Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 type: USB driver: snd-usb-audio,uvcvideo bus ID: 3-1.3:3 Device-5: C-Media Blue Snowball type: USB driver: hid-generic,snd-usb-audio,usbhid bus ID: 1-2:2 Device-6: Kingston HyperX Virtual Surround Sound type: USB driver: hid-generic,snd-usb-audio,usbhid bus ID: 1-9:5 Sound Server: ALSA v: k5.4.0-18-generic Network: Device-1: Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet vendor: ASUSTeK driver: r8169 v: kernel port: f000 bus ID: 04:00.0 IF: enp4s0 state: up speed: 1000 Mbps duplex: full mac: Drives:Local Storage: total: 6.60 TiB used: 411.34 GiB (6.1%) ID-1: /dev/nvme0n1 vendor: Samsung model: SSD 960 EVO 250GB size: 232.89 GiB ID-2: /dev/sda vendor: Western Digital model: WDS500G2B0A-00SM50 size: 465.76 GiB temp: 25 C ID-3: /dev/sdb vendor: Western Digital model: WDS500G2B0A-00SM50 size: 465.76 GiB temp: 22 C ID-4: /dev/sdc vendor: Western Digital model: WDS500G2B0A-00SM50 size: 465.76 GiB temp: 23 C ID-5: /dev/sdd type: USB vendor: Western Digital model: WD easystore 2624 size: 4.55 TiB ID-6: /dev/sde vendor: Western Digital model: WDS500G2B0A-00SM50 size: 465.76 GiB temp: 24 C Partition: ID-1: / size: 223.52 GiB used: 71.65 GiB (32.1%) fs: btrfs dev: /dev/nvme0n1p3 ID-2: /boot size: 945.6 MiB used: 143.0 MiB (15.1%) fs: ext4 dev: /dev/nvme0n1p2 ID-3: /home size: 223.52 GiB used: 71.65 GiB (32.1%) fs: btrfs dev: /dev/nvme0n1p3 ID-4: swap-1 size: 7.46 GiB used: 0 KiB (0.0%) fs: swap dev: /dev/nvme0n1p4 Sensors: System Temperatures: cpu: 27.8 C mobo: N/A gpu: amdgpu temp: 42 C Fan Speeds (RPM): N/A gpu: amdgpu fan: 0 Info: Processes: 484 Uptime: 15h 06m Memory: 31.36 GiB used: 3.27 GiB (10.4%) Init: systemd runlevel: 5 Compilers: gcc: N/A Shell: bash v: 5.0.16 inxi: 3.0.38 ``` ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 20.04 Package: gnome-control-center 1:3.36.0-0ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 5.4.0-18.22-generic 5.4.24 Uname: Linux 5.4.0-18-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.11-0ubuntu20 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: ubuntu:GNOME Date: Wed Mar 18 15:52:07 2020 InstallationDate: Installed on 2020-03-12

[Bug 1867943] [NEW] Nautilus “Open Other Application” problem
Public bug reported: When using Nautilus and I right click on an image file I get a drop down menu, the first two items are “Open With *Default application*” and “Open With Other Application”. I use Mirage as my default application for image files. On one account when I right click on an image file and choose “Open With Other Application”, Mirage is the preselected application not “Image Viewer” which is my usual second choice. On another account Mirage isn’t preselected, “Image Viewer” is. This is the expected behavior. I used the "Properties"->"Open With" to select “Image Viewer” and set it as the default. But that didn't work, it went back to Mirage as the default. I tried setting other programs as the default the same way and none stuck, it always returned to Mirage. I went to Settings->Details->Default Applications and changed the “Photos” from Mirage to “Image Viewer”. That worked and when right clicking and selecting “Other Application” Mirage is preselected. As expected. When I changed Settings->Details->Default Applications->“Photos” back to Mirage the problem returned. Mirage is the default and the preselected “Other Application”. “Right click on an image file and select : 'Open With Other Application' Then right click on the application that you do not want to be on that menu. Click on 'Forget association'”. Worked on other programs but not on Mirage. Description:Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (beaver-osha X84) Release:18.04 Nautilus 1:3.26.4-0~ubuntu18.04.5 (from Software center) I expected Image Viewer to be the preselected Other Application. I got Mirage as the default application and the preselected “Other Application” I expected Mirage to be removed from the list when I clicked on “Forget association” What I got was Mirage would not go gently into the night I expected Mirage to accept not being the default application when using "Properties"->"Open With" to chose another application as the default. What I got was Mirage remaining the default. [Bug 1867930] Re: gnome-control centre crashed after clicking on 'About'
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1867930 Title: gnome-control centre crashed after clicking on 'About' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1867930/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1852183] Re: [X11] copy/paste (clipboard) is broken in Ubuntu 19.10
I have the same issue since upgrading to Ubuntu 19.10. SQLYog (with Wine and X11) became almost unusable. Only 1 of 10 attempts work. For the moment, I use Heidi SQL (with Wine) where only 50% fail. Simply pressing Ctrl-C repeatedly does not work for me because When I press Ctrl-C multiple times, then both SQLYog and HeidiSQL sometimes freeze for a minute, sometimes they freeze until I kill them hardly. I cannot switch to Wayland because then the screen sharing function of Skype would not work, which I also need every day. I hope that this will be fixed in the next LTS release. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1852183 Title: [X11] copy/paste (clipboard) is broken in Ubuntu 19.10 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/df-libreoffice/+bug/1852183/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Public bug reported: Please sync gimp 2.10.14-3 (universe) from Debian unstable (main) It's a bug-fix release. If a plugin defines an invalid property name, don't use that plugin instead of crashing. (Closes: #953880, #953854, #953794, LP: #1857254) * d/p/Fix-invalid-property-name-in-pagecurl-plugin.patch: Apply patch from upstream 2.10.16 release to fix an invalid property name in the pagecurl plugin.
