[Bug 1899089] [NEW] Ubuntu 20.04 file browser showing all zfs mounts explicitly in side-panel
Public bug reported: I have installed Ubuntu 20.04 on zfs. I had previously had zfs datasets mounted into my 18.04 system. Those mounts are all working in the new system, but they are displaying as mounts in my file browser with unmount buttons next to them. I certainly don't want this function. it is also cluttering my display. It appears similar to Bug 1691908. My zfs mounts are not removable volumes, they are not in fstab. I was advised to report the output of `gio mount -li`: ``` Volume(0): efi Type: GUnixVolume ids: uuid: '8799-8F8E' themed icons: [drive-removable-media] symbolic themed icons: [drive-removable-media-symbolic] can_mount=1 can_eject=0 should_automount=1 Mount(0): efi -> file:///boot/efi Type: GUnixMount default_location=file:///boot/efi themed icons: [drive-harddisk] symbolic themed icons: [drive-harddisk-symbolic] can_unmount=1 can_eject=0 is_shadowed=0 Mount(1): SPACE -> file:///media/peterg/SPACE Type: GUnixMount default_location=file:///media/peterg/SPACE themed icons: [drive-harddisk] symbolic themed icons: [drive-harddisk-symbolic] can_unmount=1 can_eject=0 is_shadowed=0 ``` I tried Ask-Ubuntu. [Bug 1890141] Re: Can't fullscreen, or windows get automatically un-fullscreened, when using fractional scaling
Yeah maybe i was a bit too early with my statement. Everything works great with this extension, except from "real" OpenGl/ Vulkan fullscreen applications. For example any game (i tested Satisfactory and ROTTR) that i run in fullscreen mode has the problem that the screen is only filled about one quarter with the actual game, the rest is all black or sometimes just flickering stuff. On the upside, when you really want to play a game like that, it doesn't clip over the second screen anymore like it did with the extension disabled. I have the same problem with Kodi, that is also a OpenGL application iirc. I mean you could turn on the extension everytime you start a game/ fullscreen application... But that is really inconvenient. I can't imagine how so few people have this problem. Is the combination of a HiDPI and FullHD monitor with fractional scaling enabled so rare ...? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1890141 Title: Can't fullscreen, or windows get automatically un-fullscreened, when using fractional scaling To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1890141/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1898943] [NEW] dock and top bar blinking at fullscreen
You have been subscribed to a public bug: The dock is flashing (opening and closing) when I have smart hide mode enabled (Dash to Dock extension). The same phenomenon occurs when I use the "Hide Top Bar" extension with hidden mode ... The blinks occur with a certain pattern, which I believe is based on the values of the extensions (pressure setting etc.) ... Anyway, it is a problem that affects two different extensions at the same time. Usually the problem starts when I use Firefox's fullscreen. Sometimes the dock and the top bar work perfectly, but after a while they start to blink. You can click on the icons, but you need to reach the correct timing. If it blinks too fast, it becomes very difficult to use the dock in full screen. The problem happens only in some windows (which were used in fullscreen mode) and do not reach other windows. It is resolved with the closing and reopening of the program, but soon they reappear. ** Affects: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: bot-comment focal -- dock and top bar blinking at fullscreen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1898943 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
