[Bug 1904241] Re: Unable to recover forgotten archive folder password

2020-11-13 Thread Chris Guiver
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

Bug reporting is mostly about finding & fixing problems thus preventing
future users from hitting the same bug.

I suspect a Support site would be more appropriate, eg.
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu. You can also find help with your
problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community
http://loco.ubuntu.com/ or asking at https://askubuntu.com or
https://ubuntuforums.org, or for more support options please look at
https://discourse.ubuntu.com/t/community-support/709

I have marked this bug report as incomplete, as I see only request for support,
and not an actual bug. If you believe I'm incorrect, please leave a message
explaining why (you'll then likely be asked to run apport-collect..) and you
can change the status back to "New".

[Bug 1698351] Re: Search in Nautilus Files does not allow sorting of results

2020-11-13 Thread OzzyFrank
Yep, this needs fixing. I upgraded from 16.04 to 20.04 LTS and while
there have been some great improvements, what's changed in, and been
removed from, Nautilus has been a huge disappointment. Search results
are displayed in some crazed, random manner, and cannot be tailored, so
when there are a lot of results, it's basically unusable. Because I use
search so often, and in folders with lots of files, looks like I Have no
choice but to use Nemo until this is resolved.

  [Where problems could occur]

TBH this fix is far above my head. Only code comments are changed, i.e.
some occurrences of "full" are replaced with "container", but it still
  has proved to be it.

The reasoning in the commit message sounds plausible:

  https://github.com/ximion/appstream/commit/b52858bf

  [Original description]

I just run the isenkram-lookup command.

The crash may be related to this autopkgtest failure (which current
  blocks migration of gtk+3.0):

https://objectstorage.prodstack4-5.canonical.com/v1/AUTH_77e2ada1e7a84929a74ba3b87153c0ac
  /autopkgtest-
  hirsute/hirsute/amd64/i/isenkram/20201108_141822_ee8c4@/log.gz

This is the script which fails:

  https://salsa.debian.org/debian/isenkram/-/blob/master/debian/tests
  /test-command-line

and it includes the isenkram-lookup command.

[Bug 1600622] Re: Screen doesn't lock or go to sleep when certain Chrome tabs are open

2020-11-13 Thread Sebastien Bacher
You maybe would have more change upstream if you reported it on
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-session/issues

The system could prompt to ask if you allow the application to inhibit
the screen locking and suspend, but in practice you would probably want
to grant that permission for your webbrowser for e.g being able to play
a youtube or netfix video without interuption. It could prompt by
website but then it becomes tedious, do you really want to get asked
that question on regular basis by random websites you browse?

In short there is no obvious clean solution

[Bug 1898325] Re: Gnome calendar is not syncing with Google calendar online account.

2020-11-13 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Having the journalctl log from the system after a failing sync attemp
would be useful. There are some discussions about similar issues
upstream on https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-calendar/-/issues/626

2020-11-13 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for your bug report, could you add your 'journalctl -b 0' log
to the bug? Does it happen in any nautilus location?
