[Bug 1904819] Re: gnome-shell uses 100% cpu when screen blanked
Thanks for the bug report. Your system log is certainly full of a lot of messages so it's easy to believe you might have high CPU too. But I can't tell what part of gnome-shell they came from. Since so many bugs are caused by extensions, and nobody else is reporting this issue, the first thing we need to check is all: 'alternate-...@gnome-shell-extensions.gcampax.github.com', 'dash-to- d...@micxgx.gmail.com', 'screenshot-window-sizer@gnome-shell- extensions.gcampax.github.com', 'gsconn...@andyholmes.github.io' Please uninstall or just disable all of them in the Extensions app, then log out and log in again. Does the problem still occur? If so then it might be this: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/3098 ** Bug watch added: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues #3098 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/3098 ** Changed in: gnome-shell (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Tags added: performance ** Tags added: regression-release ** Also affects: gnome-shell via https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/3098 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1904819 Title: gnome-shell uses 100% cpu when screen blanked To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-shell/+bug/1904819/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1903986] Re: Ubuntu 20.04 freezes with remmina in full-screen
I executed: apport-collect 1903986 Step 1: Directory /var/crash is empty. Step 2: I get https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/3b81bfacd6a0c6d0f5d20395f7f51923611af976e65590519b1a3d70e9a0f5ef1454621e36d78b8c546167c5a8c9e9a3b2e7828938bb23cd0f8b737a46a7c591 but this may be some other problem, because yesterday I have had no issue with gnome-shell crash. Step 3: I don't really know what to do here... This should probably be done right after crash appears, isn't it? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1903986 Title: Ubuntu 20.04 freezes with remmina in full-screen To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1903986/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
