Any update on that? I've been encountering the issue on different distros with X11 as well as Wayland for I don't remember how long. Same problem here running Ubuntu 20.04.1. > I think this is a Wayland related issue. I am using X.org. I also found out that there has been a pull request in the package https://github.com/ubuntu/gnome-shell-extension- appindicator/pull/231/files trying to fix this. That didn't work.
