[Bug 1857392] Re: Window manager warning: Overwriting existing binding of keysym 37 with keysym 37 (keycode 10).
Furthermore, since many users will only see these messages coming from gnome-shell: Window manager warning: Overwriting existing binding... (I know it's the most common message because I read all the bug reports and peoples' logs) then it's natural we will associate that message with anything that's gone wrong. But it doesn't mean that message is related to what has gone wrong. If your system is frozen and doesn't recover then this is most definitely the wrong bug for you and you should open a new bug. If the system just stutters a bit then I think comment #21 might explain that. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1857392 Title: Window manager warning: Overwriting existing binding of keysym 37 with keysym 37 (keycode 10). [Bug 1857392] Re: Window manager warning: Overwriting existing binding of keysym 37 with keysym 37 (keycode 10).
I should also note that if your system is logging anything to disk then the kernel will stall that process (gnome-shell) within 5 seconds or so to flush the journal. That's a reliability feature of ext3/ext4 filesystems but it does also hurt interactive apps if they write anything to disk periodically. [Bug 1918433] Re: Podcast download not working due 'Operation not supported'
This is due to gvfs bug: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gvfs/-/issues/486 This is fixed in rhythmbox git ( move from gvfs to libsoup ). But the changes are too huge to be patched in Ubuntu. So, you'll have to wait for the next Rhythmbox release. ** Bug watch added: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gvfs/-/issues #486 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gvfs/-/issues/486 ** Bug watch added: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/rhythmbox/-/issues #1728 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/rhythmbox/-/issues/1728 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1918433 Title: Podcast download not working due 'Operation not supported' To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/1918433/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1918422] [NEW] At startup cryptsetup passwords are sometimes forgotten
Public bug reported: At startup of the Ubuntu system, encrypted disks are unlocked. The saved passwords are forgotten in a very reproducible way. This happens if you have three or more disks to be unlocked and mounted. 1) At first startup you enter the password and saves it for future use. The disk is unlocked and mounted. 2) The second startup the disk is only unlocked, but not mounted. Clicking on it in the file browser mounts it. 3) The third startup you need to enter the password again, starting over again at step one. The password is still in the keyring and every time you enter the password a new entry is added. Looking in "gnome-disks" it seems as while other disks are being unlocked, a disk can't be mounted at the same time. My unlock time it set for 60 seconds. $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS Release:20.04 ** Affects: gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-disk-utility in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1918422 Title: At startup cryptsetup passwords are sometimes forgotten To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-disk-utility/+bug/1918422/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Seems to depend on clock frequency, just like I see with Intel graphics.
