[Bug 1926047] [NEW] [SRU] Update to 20201225 (to support unicode 13.1)

2021-04-24 Thread Treviño
Public bug reported:

[ Impact ]

Many new emoji supported by various social platforms are not currently
visible in Ubuntu 20.04, here's a list for Unicode 13 and Unicode 13.0:

https://emojipedia.org/emoji-13.0/
https://emojipedia.org/emoji-13.1/

[ Test case ]

This sentence should end asking "what do you want?" in the Italian way:
奈

[ Regression potential ]

Emoji using a different composition not supported by 20.04 may show as
multiple icons instead than as a single emoji.

No emoji are shown when they used to be visible.

This is easily comparable using https://unicode.org/emoji/charts/full-
emoji-list.html where "Google" should match "Browser".

python3-nototools has no rdepends and the only one Build-Depend is
fonts-noto-color-emoji itself, so updating it has no effect either.

[Bug 1923311] Re: nautilus crash when creating symlink

2021-04-24 Thread Christian Rauch
A bit unrelated, but the reason that there is no "nautilus-dbgsym" for
the updated nautilus package (version 1:3.36.3-0ubuntu from "focal-
updates") is that the dbgsym index for the released version ("focal")
at:

http://ddebs.ubuntu.com/dists/focal/main/binary-amd64/Packages

shows the "nautilus-dbgsym" at version "1:3.36.1.1-1ubuntu2", but the
updated index ("focal-updates") at:

http://ddebs.ubuntu.com/dists/focal-updates/main/binary-amd64/Packages

does not contain any "nautilus-dbgsym".

I am mentioning this because I have a couple of other packages that have
been updated but now do not have a corresponding "-dbgsym" package.

@seb128 Do you have an idea where I can report this issue?

[Bug 1925792] Re: Russian phonetic keyboard unavailable

2021-04-24 Thread Gunnar Hjalmarsson
Well, this is indeed an ugly bug, and it affects not only Russian.

Downgrading g-c-c does not help, so it's probably not really a g-c-c
bug. Still keeping it as a g-c-c bug pending further investigation.

[Bug 1926006] [NEW] Suspend, restart and power off don't work, crashes the system and logs me out.

2021-04-24 Thread Adam Bishop
Public bug reported:

Suspend, restart and power off simply don't work. The system crashes,
logs me out and takes me back to the log-in screen. It possibly has
something to do with the Nvidia driver (460), but is the same with the
Nouveau driver enabled. I used system76-power previously to set Nvidia
On-demand, but this does not work any more, and conflicts with nvidia-
prime. However, uninstalling both makes no difference - possibly the
configuration is badly set and not re-set. The hardware I'm using is
possibly a bit niche. The laptop is Huawei Matebook Pro X. I had the
problem yesterday on 20.10, and updated today to 21.04 to see if the
problem would be resolved, but no luck.
