[Bug 1969896] Re: Evince Document Viewer(42.0) does not remember last page in 22.04 and opens in a tiny window when launched
Hello ManOnTheMoon, or anyone else affected, Accepted apparmor into jammy-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/3.0.4-2ubuntu2.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed- jammy to verification-done-jammy. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification- failed-jammy. In either case, without details of your testing we will not be able to proceed. Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance for helping! N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s) fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in -proposed for a minimum of 7 days. ** Changed in: apparmor (Ubuntu Jammy) Status: In Progress => Fix Committed ** Tags added: verification-needed verification-needed-jammy -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1969896 Title: Evince Document Viewer(42.0) does not remember last page in 22.04 and opens in a tiny window when launched To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/+bug/1969896/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

And so in general this will not grant permission to use a DBus interface that an application did not have before. However, due to the way that deny rules take precedence over allow rules in AppArmor, if an application had been allowed generic dbus access to the user's session bus, the previous deny rule in the exo-open abstraction would then have denied them access to just gvfs via dbus. With this new proposed change, this is not explicitly denied and so is now allowed as expected. But for applcations which may have used the exo-open abstraction and which did *not* have DBus access before, this change will not result in them obtaining DBus access either. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1969896 Title: Evince Document Viewer(42.0) does not remember last page in 22.04 and opens in a tiny window when launched To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apparmor/+bug/1969896/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

You have been subscribed to a public bug: $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 22.04 LTS Release:22.04 I am not sure what package this problem is in, sorry. I find the following annoyance in Ubuntu 22.04: Many apps and web pages pop up a gnome file chooser window when the user needs to select a file or files for some purpose. I have dual monitors with the main monitor on the right and display my dock on the left side of that monitor. When I get to the file chooser, I find that it displays at full screen size on the active monitor, but not respecting the existence of the dock at the left of that display. [Bug 1976204] Re: Screen freeze if a 4K monitor is added to a 4K laptop while DING is active
The bug doesn't happen if I build mutter/gnome-shell from git. The bug still doesn't happen if I build the Ubuntu 42.1 tags (jammy) from salsa, with all Ubuntu patches. Using the jammy release binaries the bug still occurs consistently. I am not getting any results from gjs_dumpstack anymore (like above), but earlier in the day I did get: == Stack trace for context 0x56139f48b4a0 == gnome-shell[10091]: #0 7ffc53926a00 I resource:///org/gnome/shell/ui/windowManager.js:314 (2b03e27293d0 @ 78) gnome-shell[10091]: #1 7ffc53926a50 I self-hosted:1181 (2e95f68b0a10 @ 454) So actually that's the same as Marco mentioned in comment #13. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to mutter in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1976204 Title: Screen freeze if a 4K monitor is added to a 4K laptop while DING is active To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/1976204/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
