[Bug 1995320] [NEW] intermittent green static
Public bug reported: After upgrading from 22.04 to 22.10 I've been seeing some display glitches. - green static appears, usually when scrolling, regular sized green blocks, like giant pixels - firefox not refreshing when full screen video plays (separate windows, separate screens) I would guess I probably have the wrong package here, but there's no way for me to tell if it's mesa, the kernel, gnome-shell, or something else. [Bug 1993809] Re: Update gnome-shell to 42.5
I verified the SRU by installing the gnome-shell from proposed, 42.5-0ubuntu1. The test succeeded. I followed the test cases in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopTeam/TestPlans/GNOMEShell. For the test case 1, I couldn't notice any problem in any of the 4 sessions, with moving windows, tiling, application panel etc. For the test case 2, I enabled all the extensions without error. To the best of my knowledge of their functionality, they behaved fine. [Bug 1994485] Re: Suspend screen bug Gnome and Gnome with video card AMD RX6500XT
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It sounds like some part of the system has crashed. To help us find the cause of the crash please follow these steps: 1. Look in /var/crash for crash files and if found run: ubuntu-bug YOURFILE.crash Then tell us the ID of the newly-created bug. 2. If step 1 failed then look at https://errors.ubuntu.com/user/ID where ID is the content of file /var/lib/whoopsie/whoopsie-id on the machine. Do you find any links to recent problems on that page? If so then please send the links to us. Please take care to avoid attaching .crash files to bugs as we are unable to process them as file attachments. [Bug 1993874] Re: Settings and Quick Menu apply Dark style differently
Looks like the app itself has a custom dark theme but your window theme is still light. You would probably get something similar if you used a custom dark theme in something like chrome/arduino/libreoffice/… . Do you get a dark top bar when setting to dark in the quick menu? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1993874 Title: Settings and Quick Menu apply Dark style differently To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/1993874/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 1993874] Re: Settings and Quick Menu apply Dark style differently
In addition to what's mentioned above, I noticed some apps are partially in dark mode. The top bar is in light mode, while the rest of the window is in dark mode. [Bug 1993874] Re: Settings and Quick Menu apply Dark style differently
There is, set the style to Dark using the quick menu toggle and don’t use the Appearance tab in Settings. As long as you don’t go in that Settings section, the theme will stay dark. I’ve been doing this since I first noticed the issue and the windows have remained dark.

[Bug 1993308] Re: Update gnome-calendar to 43.1
I installed gnome-calendar 43.1-0ubuntu1 and successfully completed the test case. I noticed that dragging an event to a different time slot didn't save to the correct time, depending on the system timezone. I reported that issue to GNOME. I verified that the issue also affects Calendar 43.0 currently in Kinetic so this is not a regression. Therefore, I am marking this SRU as verified. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-calendar/-/issues/903 ** Bug watch added: gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-calendar/-/issues #903 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-calendar/-/issues/903 ** Tags removed: verification-needed verification-needed-kinetic ** Tags added: verification-done verification-done-kinetic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-calendar in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1993308 Title: Update gnome-calendar to 43.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-calendar/+bug/1993308/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
