[Bug 2015704] [NEW] Gnome Flashback Metacity crashes and logs me out at login. Flashback Compiz runs OK.

2023-04-09 Thread David A. Kra
Public bug reported:

While modifying the Gnome Flashback Metacity panels:
I moved the top panel to the left. OK
Was changing which applets were shown, removing some, adding some.
The panel shifted almost off-screen, then flickered several times.
I got a display message that a problem kept happening, Gnome could not
continue, and I would be logged out.
When I log in again with Flashback Metacity, this happens immediately.
Writing this up from Flashback Compiz.

[Bug 2015691] Re: gnome-shell crashes while interacting with firefox

2023-04-09 Thread Bruce Elrick
This has been happening every few days to week for the last couple
months. I've installed lunar from scratch on January 15. I upgraded from
kernel 5.19.0-19 to 6.1.0-14 late January. I have been regularly
updating.

I have text copies of journald logs going back to March 1, so I think this
covers the dates:

this bug is wrong, the problem is a kernel loop, no problem with gnome-shell.
