[Bug 2018555] [NEW] Nautilus rendering is broken if GTK_THEME env variable exists
Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 22.10, nautilus rendering is broken as soon as GTK_THEME environment exists, and there are some other components of GNOME that sets it at desktop launch (for example the Desktop may set it as GTK_THEME=Adwaita:dark). I have found no GTK_THEME value to make nautilus render properly, even the empty string breaks nautilus. How to reproduce: ``` killall nautilus GTK_THEME= nautilus ``` Then try to select some icons, selected icons will not be displayed as selected. [Bug 1971558] Re: dropbox menu icon often replaced with three dots under Jammy
@Marco: I edited the appIndicator.js file on my machine to reflect your edit. So far (after 30 minutes of using my laptop), the Dropbox icon remains present and its menu functions normally. I tested closing my laptop to suspend and then reopening it, and the icon continues to display as expected. I'll update here if the icon disappears to three dots again after a longer trial period. [Bug 2018539] [NEW] File selector extremely slow
Public bug reported: When you try to upload/download a file in an application (e.g. Firefox, Signal, etc) the file selector that opens is extremely slow to appear, search and change directory. Often times, if I try to search for a file in it, I have to wait 10 or more second before the letters I typed appear, and most of the time the last letter I pressed when typing, will appear before the rest of what I wrote, meaning I have to wait for my query to be deleted before I re- type it again. This has only just started since upgrading to Ubuntu 23.04. I noticed that Nautilus has been faster in general since the update, but in the file selector specifically, it's become unusable. [Bug 2012388] Re: X11 window at top-right of the screen is invisible and steals mouse clicks
It might be me going crazy (just in case). But I am getting the feeling the invisible box sometimes grows downwards, taking more space so even if you drag windows down, you can not click them unless you drag them to the left side of the screen. It also grows in a specific rectangular way. What I mean with this is that, when dragging windows for example you can not drag them in a certain part of the window (because of the ghost window) but any other part to the left or right will work. Here is an image to give you an idea: https://imgur.com/a/e5UjluM Inside the red, I can not drag either the telegram app or sublime in the background, but if I move the mouse over to the right or left I can drag/click again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-shell-extension-appindicator in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2012388 Title: X11 window at top-right of the screen is invisible and steals mouse clicks To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-appindicator/+bug/2012388/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
