my ubuntu desktop crashes after it is resumed from the suspend mode.
It displays crashed desktop and then goes all black and displays a
blinking underscore. If i wait enough, this starts printing the
messages like failet to rotate and failed to write entry.. The
only way to make it normal is by restarting forcefully by long
  pressing the power button.

[Bug 117514] Re: seahorse does not synchronize keys with keyserver

2024-05-12 Thread Robert Schlackman
In 24.04 desktop if you choose two keys to sync, the program will crash.
Also, does not look like the sync even works. I had to use the below
command to get my key to sync.

gpg --send-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com

And that "security" release fixed what exactly?

Let's see: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/42.9-0ubuntu7.1

Ah, nothing, just a rebuild.

[Bug 2065524] [NEW] DMAR: DRHD error with black screen while wake from sleep mode

2024-05-12 Thread shun wang
Public bug reported:

It happens all the time on my Alienware x14 laptop, every time while
wake form sleep mode the screen always goes black and all the keys don't
work. I could only solve it by force shutting down and restarting with
the power button. I've tried
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mutter/+bug/1968040 solutions
but none of them worked, so I suspect this is a different problem. I
have attached the relevant logs, the approximate time is around
20:44-20:45.

Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

[Bug 1881932] Re: subiquity isn't able to create btrfs subvolumes during installation

2024-05-12 Thread Jonas Gamao

[Bug 2059847] Re: Input lag or freezes on Nvidia desktops with X11 after logging "MetaSyncRing: Sync object is not ready -- were events handled properly?"

2024-05-12 Thread JK
> Here's the "fix" snippet folks:

Thanks a lot @Deku King! This bug is driving me crazy, since it affects
all parts of the GUI and makes my PC almost unusable. Except for gaming,
which is not affected. Hmm... maybe I should check if I accidentally
booted the wrong OS...
