Personally I can reproduce the bug by trying to change themes on my own system. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus Release: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Package version: 1:2.30.1-0ubuntu6~ppa54 Expected behaviour: Upon changing anything via 'Appearance Preferences' such as the desktop background, theme, icons etc. past experience is consistent with an expectation that changes will be reflected immediately, without needing to do anything other than select a new item.
