[Bug 1866974] Re: The Diffie-Hellman prime sent by the server is not acceptable

2020-04-03 Thread Aditya Mohana Sivaraj
I noticed this bug too. In my case it was Shibboleth. They may have to
work with Shibboleth to integrate their services, because right now
their website mentions support only for Suse and CentOS distros.

Temporarily your workaround can be edit /etc/hosts to add your ISP's
static IP and domain address. This worked for me.

[Bug 1241894] Re: Network History no longer works in System Monitor since 13.10

2018-01-25 Thread Aditya
Hi Robert, the problem was with linux kernel and it has been fixed in
kernel v3.14 and later. Since kernel v4.4 HWE is available for Ubuntu
14.04 LTS and all other supported Ubuntu versions come with kernel
v3.14+, the issue no longer persists.

As such I guess the bug should be marked as fixed. There is one caveat -
Ubuntu 12.04 ESM has kernel v3.13 HWE.

The issue was fixed sometime back during regular updates provided by the
Update Manager. I am now able to start Nautilus as root on Ubuntu
14.04..

The status of the bug should be changed. I am not doing it myself, since
I am a bit unexperienced and not sure if bugs that are fixed during
regular updates, how are they tagged in the Status field.

apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected trusty

** Description changed:

  Basic Info:
  ---

  1. OS: Ubuntu GNOME 14.04 (with all the updates applied till now)
  2. GDM package information:
  $ apt-cache policy gdm

---

I have two user accounts setup:

 1. Aditya (Administrator)
 2. Mohit (Standard User)

Both the accounts have passwords on them and Automatic Login is off
  for both of them.

When I reboot, two cases happen:

  1. If I don't select which user account I want to login (Administrator
account is autoselected initially), GNOME waits for about ~5 secs and
then starts displaying a progress bar around the Adminstrator Account
(Aditya) indicating that this account would login when it reaches 100%
(it takes about 10 secs for progress bar to finish). Once the progress
bar finished, it logs the Administrator without asking for user password
and anyone can use the account without knowing the password at all.

  2. Even when I select the Standard Account (Mohit) (but don't press
return/enter - ie; I don't reach the password screen for Mohit) then
GNOME waits for about ~5 secs and thereafter selects the Administrator
Account (Aditya) by itself and repeats case 1 mentioned above.

However, since I have the Online Accounts setup, it nags me a couple
of times initially after login to enter the password, but I can just
press Escape and don't need to enter the password. (The Online Accounts
feature don't work as expected since I don't provide the password to
  it).

Screenshot of it nagging me to provide password for Online Accounts:

[Bug 1314971] Re: Potential Security Issue - Having multiple users logins the administrator account without asking for password

2014-05-01 Thread Aditya
Hi Seth Arnold,

That does fix the issue. But shouldn't this default behavior change. I
never touched that file myself (at least not intentionally). I had
once/twice enabled automatic login for accounts (using System Settings
User Accounts), but disabled it afterwards. Disabling it should have
made necessary changes to those files. Can you please try that? I would
also try to enable automatic login once again and then disable it to see
if this problem pops up once again.

Thanks for the help.

[Bug 410636] Re: Right-click should not pre-light first option, too easy to accidentally select the first Context-menu option.

2011-06-01 Thread Aditya Sharma
I had similar symptoms to the ones mentioned above. A single click
worked like two very quick single clicks (and not a double click). This
was of course not showing up on my other Linux Laptop or when used with
any other OS.

In the end it turned out to be because of having both an external USB
mouse and my laptop touchpad enabled simultaneously. When I used my
laptop's Fn+Disable Touchpad key to disable touchpad, the issue goes
away and i can use the USB mouse ok. I wonder if some of you folks were
facing the same issue.

[Bug 629730] [NEW] chat window timestamp doesn't show AM/PM

2010-09-03 Thread Aditya
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: empathy

I've installed maverick beta yesterday.
One among many of the changes i've found that the chat window in empathy shows
chat date also.
But implementation on this feature has led to an ambiguity. The time is neither
displayed in 24 hour system nor it has AM/PM time stamp. It becomes impossible
to distinguish between day and night messages

One more thing I would like to say is that in the lucid, the new message was
displayed as notification but in maverick the icon becomes green but
notification is not displayed. I don't know whether it is implemented
purposefully or it is a bug.
Please pay attention to this also

My time zone is IST. If you require further debugging info. please
contact me.

[Bug 175233] Re: Evolution hangs with Formatting Message after several hours

2010-07-28 Thread Aditya
When I start evolution, it sometimes stops responding and the status bar
shows the message Formatting message . I have to end evolution process
from system monitor to get rid of this. It happens both with my POP
Yahoo account and IMAP gmail account. Please note that this happens only
once in 2-3 days. Please contact me if you need further info.

2007-11-08 Thread Aditya Shankar
Yes there is a way to fix it without reinstalling any package...
just follow the steps below-

1.right click on the bottom panel and select Add to panel
2. in the dialogue box that appears.. in the desktop windows
category select windows list and click on add... this should do the
trick

mail back the result
