[Bug 1002537] Re: Shotwell Send To Email doesn't attach multiple photos
Hi Laura, the files are jpg, around 800kb in size. If I pack them in zip the issue persists. The only workaround is to transform them at the Send To dialog by scaling them. I can't reproduce it on a different machine. Could this be a file permission issue? I am sharing my database and photos with a different user and so the ownership of the photos and the shotwell database is: -rw-r--r-- 1 alex otheruser 7974912 May 22 17:35 .shotwell/data/photo.db instead of the default: -rw-r--r-- 1 alex alex 7974912 May 22 17:35 .shotwell/data/photo.db I can't reproduce this on my other computer where I have just one user setup. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to shotwell in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1002537 Title: Shotwell Send To Email doesn't attach multiple photos To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shotwell/+bug/1002537/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 1002537] [NEW] Shotwell Send To Email doesn't attach multiple photos
Public bug reported: 1) Open Shotwell 2) Select multiple more than one photo from your library 3) Right click on the selection and choose Send To... 4) At Send To window accept default settings and click OK. 5) Choose Send as: Email and click send. Result: Thunderbird opens but there' just one photo attached to the email, not all of them. Expected result: All photos should be attached to the email. Workaround: At the Send To dialog window use the Scaling constraint to change the size and then all photos will be attached to the email. I can reproduce this every time. I have used small photos so that the size of the attachment won't be a problem. I'm not sure it's a regression but I don't remember having this issue in Oneiric. I will test with Evolution if necessary. See bug #89381 for similar issues, however I think that this is a Nautilus problem and not Firefox. ** Attachment added: Flash is installed http://launchpadlibrarian.net/53110458/adobe-flashplugin_installed.png -- No preview on file upload after installing flash https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/613886 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 584262] Re: Lucid desktop takes around 25 seconds to load
Thanks for the tip Sebastien. On both computers I had a floppy assigned in the BIOS, but I had no physical floppy installed on the computers. Disabling the floppy into the BIOS both machines solved the boot speed. Interesting though, when the floppy was enabled in BIOS the bootchart showed a boot time of 21.65 seconds when in reality it took 46 seconds until I could see any desktop. I observed that the bootchart's 21 seconds report is counted a little after the login sound. This floppy issue seems to affect only lucid desktop, because I installed Kubuntu 10.04 and Karmic desktop and I had no such problems. In Lucid I had a floppy icon in Places. That was not the case in Kubuntu and Karmic. I guess Lucid is detecting some kind of a floppy because of the BIOS settings, even though there's no floppy installed. I'll attach the boot chart with the floppy enabled in BIOS and the second one with the floppy disabled. As you can see, the boot times are close, so this means that bootchart doesn't take into the consideration the other 25 second it took to load the desktop. Could this be a bug? :) ** Attachment added: bootchart.png - with floppy enabled in BIOS http://launchpadlibrarian.net/49024395/htpc-lucid-20100524-1.png -- Lucid desktop takes around 25 seconds to load https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/584262 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gdm in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 584262] [NEW] Lucid desktop takes around 25 seconds to load
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm I've tried this with both versions of Lucid Desktop 32 and 64 bit on 2 different computers (with and without the proprietary drivers) and the results are the same. Both computers have in common the ATI graphics. One is an integrated Radeon 4200 and the other one a Radeon 5770. The computers boot normally but for the desktop to load (icons and panels ..etc) I have to wait at least 25 seconds. I have 2 case scenarios: 1) If I leave the automatic login activated I hear the login sound at boot, but the screen remains black for about 25 seconds (with the the white mouse arrow on it) before loading the desktop. 2) If I use the login screen, after I type the password to log in, I hear the login sound, I see the the purple background and it hangs here for about 25 seconds before loading the desktop. In both case I can move the mouse on the screen , but the desktop loads after ~ 25 seconds. I don't see any hard drive activity during this period. Karmic doesn't have this issue on these computers. I have used it and it works fine. I will test this next week with a few other laptops with ATI integrated cards and I'll post the results as soon as possible. I'm not sure that this is due to the ATI cards but I'll investigate further.
