[Bug 1358190] [NEW] archive manager is not warning when corrupt tar opened
Public bug reported: I have occasionally experienced instances when my backups using tar have created a bad .tar file. Archive Manager opens the archive file and the archive hierarchy is partially displayed, but there is no warning that file is corrupt and the displayed tree is corrupt/incomplete. Listing archive with tar -t exits with error, and opening the archive with an alternative manager (ark) also displays partial hierarchy, but does display a message warning that the tar file is corrupt. [Bug 596531] [NEW] Evolution badly formed email addresses in outbox
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evolution Evolution 2.28.3-0ubuntu10, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 64bit In the last few days I have started experiencing the following problem (I believe an Evolution update was included in an Update Manager run a few days ago) Recipient addresses added from address book are being changed incorrectly after clicking send. The recipient address of these messages in my Outbox are badly formed and cannot be sent correctly. For example after selecting my address Mr. Allan John Kelly is correct in my compose message TO address box. After clicking send, viewing the message in Outbox, the TO bcx now has a reformatted corrupted address where the < symbol has been repositioned incorrectly : Mr.AllanJ ** Affects: evolution (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Evolution badly formed email addresses in outbox https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/596531 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
Re: [Bug 478283] Re: importing outlook 2000 pst file checked addresses only, calendar and tasks are also imported
Hi I've created a small test pst with 4 mail, 4 contacts, 4 tsks, 4 appointments. Not sure it is giving all the issues I had with my real file. I am finding that tasks are always imported regardless of whether checked or not. The calendar is never importing, possibly because I have only created all day events and I do not seem to be able to import addresses at all. To be honest the import was not very comprehensive for me. I had to use a variety other methods to get evolution populated via ICS calendar files, LDIF, importing & exporting through Mozilla Thunderbird and manual update of missing fields. Attached is a small test pst An ODT showing the data in outlook The evolution backup I have been using to empty mail etc. Hope this helps. It is enough to demonstrate that task checkbox is not being honored. If I get time I'll try to generate some more test data tomorrow. Re: [Bug 478283] Re: importing outlook 2000 pst file checked addresses only, calendar and tasks are also imported
Hi Pedro Not sure what you are requesting? Are you after a pst file? I wouldn't want to send mine as it would contain confidential info and is rather large, but I could try and set up a small test one.
