[Bug 1626893] [NEW] Spell check does not change misspelled words
Public bug reported: Evolution correctly highlights misspelled words. When I see a misspelled word I right click the word and choose the correct spelling from a list. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. [Bug 484954] Re: In lieu of /etc/X11/Xorg.conf , I am not able to set my monitor to 1280x1024 . I would prefer not to hack it.
Hello and thank you for your help making Ubuntu better by reporting this bug, however the report is quite long and it actually makes it hard to figure out what the actual bug is. Bug reports should be as short and concise as possible. Could you please clean up the description to contain only relevant information and a clear definition of the bug? Also /etc/X11/xorg.conf is now optional, if it's present it will be parsed as normal, if not (default) settings will be autodetected. ** Changed in: gdm (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- In lieu of /etc/X11/Xorg.conf , I am not able to set my monitor to 1280x1024 . Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures Could you please provide the following logs: /var/log/messages /var/log/Xorg.0.log the output of lspci and lsusb might also be useful. Also, you need to state which release you are using, and if possible; try and recreate the bug in the latest development release.
