[Bug 1626893] [NEW] Spell check does not change misspelled words

2016-09-23 Thread Andreas Noteng
Public bug reported:

Evolution correctly highlights misspelled words. When I see a misspelled
word I right click the word and choose the correct spelling from a list.
Since upgrading this does not change the spelling in the text, nothing
happens when I click the correct spelling from the list.

This bug is fixed in upstream release 3.20, which is available in

evolution-data-server which afaik has some build issues.

[Bug 517794] Re: Cannot click on anything when logging into Gnome the first time

2010-04-09 Thread Andreas Noteng
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Please execute the following command, as it will
automatically gather debugging information, in a terminal:

apport-collect 517794

This will help us to find and resolve the problem. Bear in mind that you
may need to install the python-launchpadlib package from the universe
repository. Additionally, when prompted to give apport-collect
permissions for Launchpad you will need to give it at least the ability
to Change Non-Private data as it will be adding information to your
bug report. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. This bug

[Bug 484954] Re: In lieu of /etc/X11/Xorg.conf , I am not able to set my monitor to 1280x1024 . I would prefer not to hack it.

2010-02-05 Thread Andreas Noteng
Hello and thank you for your help making Ubuntu better by reporting this
bug, however the report is quite long and it actually makes it hard to
figure out what the actual bug is. Bug reports should be as short and
concise as possible. Could you please clean up the description to
contain only relevant information and a clear definition of the bug?

Also /etc/X11/xorg.conf is now optional, if it's present it will be
parsed as normal, if not (default) settings will be autodetected.

[Bug 517794] Re: Cannot click on anything when logging into Gnome the first time

2010-02-05 Thread Andreas Noteng
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description
didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How
to report bugs effectively
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

Could you please provide the following logs:
/var/log/messages
/var/log/Xorg.0.log
the output of lspci and lsusb might also be useful.

Also, you need to state which release you are using, and if possible;
try and recreate the bug in the latest development release.

Thanks!
