[Bug 247483] [NEW] totem doesn't load subtitles
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem 1) I'm using Ubuntu 8.04.1 amd64 and I had not any problems up to ubuntu 7.10 2) Totem is in version 2.22.1-0ubuntu2 Totem doesn't load subtitles. Example: open lowercase.avi in the same folder lowercase.srt totem won't see any subtitles. I tried with many files and names. It doesn't matter if the name is all lowercase or starts with capital letter. Re: [Bug 219621] Re: totem won't recognize gstreamer codecs
That's what I found in .xsession-errors: (totem:17550): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstffmpeg.so': /usr/lib/libavcodec.so.1d: undefined symbol: faacDecDecode ** Message: don't know how to handle video/x-xvid, framerate=(fraction)25/1, width=(int)720, height=(int)544 ** Message: Missing plugin: gstreamer|0.10|totem|Decoder XVID MPEG-4| decoder-video/x-xvid (Decoder XVID MPEG-4) (gnome-codec-install:17566): GStreamer-WARNING **: Failed to load plugin '/usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstffmpeg.so': /usr/lib/libavcodec.so.1d: undefined symbol: faacDecDecode ** (gnome-codec-install:17561): WARNING **: return value of custom widget handler was not a GtkWidget Installazione codec aggiuntivo rifiutata I have installed all gstreamer plugins I found in synaptic (even the ugly). If i uninstall the plug-ins, it searches them, it installs them new and the cannot find them again. Mplayer only play anything. The audio files (all sort) and ogg files (audio or video) play well with any player. I had no problem before upgrading from 7.10 to 8.04. Let me know if I can give you further information. [Bug 219621] [NEW] totem won't recognize gstreamer codecs
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem totem seeks for already installed codecs when I play video files (it only plays ogg files now) without finding them. As a result it won't play any other video file (eg avi encoded with xvid). No problem at all with audio files (in any format). All gstreamer codecs (even the bad ones) are already installed. ** Affects: totem (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- totem won't recognize gstreamer codecs https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/219621 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
