[Bug 1824874] Re: undismissable, unclickable authentication dialog left on screen (top-left corner) after policykit authentication [pushModal: invocation of begin_modal failed]
Same as the rest got this after returning. But wanted to add one thing nobody did comment about is that I could keep *show/hide my password*! That's a security issue if you do not know yet you can use alt+f2 + r to get rid of the window. [Bug 235944] Re: Hardy: opening a drawer can randomly make gnome-panel hang using 100% cpu
I am not sure it is the same problem but the gnome-panel freezes on me too after a while... not sure how and why? Here is what I do so I am able to work. I can work if I only opened all my windows before the freeze occurs after this I cannot even open any app via the terminal. I still can use all apps that are open. 1) restart computer (kill gdm or doing a crtl-alt-backspace both have a negative outcome) 2) quickly open all apps I need I have hardy with backports on a dell d620 with a digital screen above my laptop using xrandr. gnome-panel version is 1:2.22.2-0ubuntu-1 I did try a lot of things to overcome this problem, it did at least cost me a lot of wasted working hours unfortunatly... Removing all .gconf* and .gnome* folders (a few times) Reinstalling gnome-panel and nautilus Disable compiz Moved the gnome-panel on both screens but on both screens this problem occures using only the laptop screen ... but none solved it. [Bug 181052] right click in -places- directly opens
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus If I right-click on any directory in the -places- view (left view) it directly opens the folder in the right view. I want nautilus to wait till I select via a right-click -open- or -open in a new window-. I use right-click mostly when I want to copy something from the current view (which I want to keep but gets lost) to a -place- that I like to open in a new window. ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- right click in -places- directly opens https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/181052 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug contact for nautilus in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 175862] text shadow on transparent gnome-terminal
Public bug reported: As of in gutsy (7.10) compiz is standard and people will use, like me, the desktop as transparent terminal as explained in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3254093. It works very pleasant to have my terminal in the 'background'. But I miss a shadow under my font so I can read all text in my terminal without hurting my eyes. >From 2005 there is a patch available on the libvte so can someone please apply >this?
