[Bug 1248368] Re: Volume up/down keyboard keys stoped working after gnome-settings-daemon package update

2014-03-10 Thread Benedikt
I see this issue, too (12.04.4 and Lenovo T420). After the gnome-
settings update the volume keys stopped working. The logs show no
warning and error messages... I will try if a rollback to 6.4 will help.

Hi I'm also affected by this Bug. I have added Apport as affected

control-center. I don't think that gnome-control-center is at fault.

2010-11-13 Thread Benedikt Pirker
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

if i put in my power cable, the screen should get brighter
(of course there's a battery in my laptop)
instead of that, it goes darker

I use Ubuntu 10.10 (maverick).
I use a HP Pavillion 2070 eg.
I didn't have this bug with ubuntu 10.04 (lucid).
gnome-power-manager version 2.32.0-0ubuntu1

[Bug 95414] Re: gedit unable to open files on samba shares (7.04 Beta)

2008-09-12 Thread Benedikt Wegmann
I can confirm the bug in Hardy as described by vipaca.

The error in .xsession-errors:

2007-04-07 Thread Benedikt Suykens
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.

Since you only requested a single operation it is extremely likely that
the package is simply not installable and a bug report against
that package should be filed.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  yelp-dbgsym: Depends: yelp (= 2.16.1-0ubuntu3) but 2.18.0-0ubuntu4
is to be installed

[Bug 93629] Translation Work and Duration is both Dauer in planner Application

2007-03-19 Thread Benedikt
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: planner

If you work in german (actually German Swiss) in planner, you can not
distinguish betwenn Duration and Work. Both is translated with Dauer.
Actually the distinguish of Work and Duration is essential, to use
planner ! Workaround: use English version.

Correct Translation would be:
Work: Arbeit
Duration: Dauer

To reproduce:
System: Ubuntu edgy (up to date)
Change language to German (Schweiz)
Start planner

[Bug 38570] 100% CPU if jpg file in ~/Templates/

2006-04-07 Thread Benedikt
Public bug reported:

Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu)
   Severity: Normal
   Priority: (none set)
 Status: Unconfirmed

Description:
make jpg File of the dimension 6556x99 Pixels and place ist in the
directory ~/Templates.

If you restart nautilus, it will eat up all CPU.

Actually the thumbnail of the JPG is shown correctly if it's in another
directory !

Copying the JPG File to the directory ~/Templates results also in eating
100% CPU after copying the file (But copy File to another locations
works perfectly !)

This did not happen in Ubuntu Breezy but happens in dapper (upgraded
from breezy). I could reproduce this behaviour on a colleagues laptop
(Ubuntu dapper also).

Nautilus is Version 2.14.0, in Ubuntu dapper System which is up to date.

Do not hesitate to contact me, if you have further questions.
