[Bug 737715] Re: Unable to receive file transfer requests from "People nearby"

[Bug 925765] Re: channel topic not shown
I think the bottom line is really that for me, topics are only displayed for channels I'm autoconnected to. I added #scribus to that list yesterday (so it now consists of that plus #debian-games and #ubuntu- motu). After empathy started up today (automatically right after login), I got auto-connected to those three channels, and they all had their subjects displayed. When i manually logged into #pygtk (and other channels), their topics weren't shown. ** Attachment added: "debian-games.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/925765/+attachment/2715400/+files/debian-games.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/925765 Title: channel topic not shown To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/925765/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 925765] Re: channel topic not shown
For me, it is reproducible. 1. My IRC channel favorites list consists of only #debian-games (OTFC) and #ubuntu-motu (freenode) and they're set both to auto-connect at startup. For both channels, topics are shown from startup on. 2. I then log into #libreoffice-dev -- no topic shown. Same goes for #scribus (freenode), #pygtk (GimpNet). I'm starting to think that no channel that's not auto-connected at startup has its topic displayed... 3. Additionally, if I close the chat window and then have empathy "enter favorites" manually, *only* #debian-games has its topic shown (#ubuntu-motu doesn't). 4. Adding #libreoffice-dev (freenode, same as #ubuntu-motu) to auto-connected favorites, shutting down empathy, and restarting it: only #debian-games has its topic displayed; #ubuntu-motu doesn't any longer. Same if I add #pygtk (which is on GimpNet, ie a different network than #ubuntu-motu) instead of #libreoffice-dev. I have accounts stored for freenode, gimpnet, and OFTC (plus avahi, ICQ and a dysfunctional Jabber account). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/925765 Title: channel topic not shown To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/empathy/+bug/925765/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 925765] [NEW] channel topic not shown
Public bug reported: I'm currently logged into #debian-games (OTFC), #ubuntu-motu, #scribus, and #libreoffice-dev (all on FreeNode). Channel topics are shown for #debian-games and #ubuntu-motu, but not for #scribus and #libreoffice-dev. I know for sure that at least #libreoffice-dev has a channel topic set (people told me), so I wonder what's wrong? [Bug 195976] Re: gvfsd-computer crashed with SIGSEGV
Same problem as of #6 here with an HP PhotoSmart R507 using Ubuntu 8.10: > Unable to mount Hewlett-Packard PhotoSmart 720 / PhotoSmart 935 (storage) > Error initializing camera: -1: Unspecified error According to some other related bugs, it might have to do with the camera's mass storage mode (being switched on here). Note that the camera icon and name are displayed in computer:/// Double clicking on it there gives an error message à la "Unable to mount location. Error initializing camera: -1: Unspecified error" (German: Einhängen des Ortes nicht möglich. Error initializing camera: -1: Unspecified error). No crash, though. Stuff used to work some time before 8.10. Haven't tried workaround from #12 yet, but could it be that this suggests that gphoto (something related to mass storage vs PTP mode handling) is to blame? dmesg: [ 1240.072277] usb 7-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2 [ 1240.237839] usb 7-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [ 1240.451387] usbcore: registered new interface driver libusual [ 1240.474611] Initializing USB Mass Storage driver...
