[Bug 267655] [NEW] Battery status no longer shown

2008-09-08 Thread Chris Close
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager

The battery status is no longer shown in intrepid. The power manager
always states that the laptop is running on AC power regardless. Was
previously working in gutsy + hardy.

I suspect this is the problem:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state
present: no
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/info
present: no

Laptop is a BenQ S-41.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo gnome-power-bugreport.sh

[Bug 221708] Re: Brasero doesn't read tags on added FLAC files properly

2008-06-17 Thread Chris Close
The FLAC files are really quite large... And especially as the bug only
appears when you are adding multiple files (in this case, drag-dropping
whole directory).

Do you have any you can try for yourself? K3b makes flac pretty easy
from a CD. The files I used were from K3b using flac 1.1.4.

[Bug 221710] Re: Brasero doesn't order audio files correctly when adding from a directory

2008-04-30 Thread Chris Close
I've tried it with some ogg files and the same result.

Interestingly, if I add the files individually, the tags get read
properly on them straight away. If I remove all the files from the
project and then add the directory in one hit, it all works as expected.
In order to get it to work like this, I have to shut down Brasero and
then re-open it in order to make sure that it hasn't missed any file
tags in its cache.

[Bug 221708] [NEW] Brasero doesn't read tags on added FLAC files properly

2008-04-25 Thread Chris Close
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: brasero

Using a fresh install of Ubuntu Hardy 8.04, with Brasero 0.7.1-3ubuntu1

When adding FLAC files to burn to a CD in Brasero, the first file added
will have its Artist/Track information read. Files added after that will
not.

Files were added first via dragging a whole folder into the 'New audio disc
project', in which case only the first file had its information read properly.
Files added individually after that did not have their information read either.

[Bug 221710] [NEW] Brasero doesn't order audio files correctly when adding from a directory

2008-04-25 Thread Chris Close
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: brasero

Using a fresh install of Ubuntu Hardy 8.04, with Brasero 0.7.1-3ubuntu1

When adding FLAC files to burn to an audio CD in Brasero by dragging the
whole folder across and hitting the 'Search Directory' button in the
dialog that appears, the audio tracks are added in some sort of a random
order (maybe the order they appear on the disc?).

I would expect the files to be added in alphabetical order so that you can add
files from the same CD properly. E.g:
01 - Some track.flac
02 - Another track.flac

Attached screenshot of resulting problem.

[Bug 48380] Re: Unmount progress dialog doesn't show when unmounting via the side panel

2007-01-11 Thread Chris Close
This should really be fixed. I've lost data because I expected the same
progress dialog to appear as when unmounting from the desktop.

In my opinion should be upped in priority!
