Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. [Bug 314225] Re: Evince very long load time with complex document
I confirm that it does take a lot longer to open the same document in evince, but even so it downloaded (all 25 MB) and opened fully rendered in less than a minute. Opening it after saving it took about 40 seconds to fully render. Acrobat took approximately 10 seconds, I don't believe this is an evince issue, I think they are just taking advantage of some proprietary shortcuts when rendering/caching that file through acrobat. If I were you I would continue opening documents of this calibre with the Acrobat reader instead. With that being said I am going to mark this as invalid. Poppler is the rendering library that evince uses for pdf files. They have a bugzilla link at the bottom of the page. I would recommend that you register and submit a bug there if you would like to give the poppler developers feedback. I would make sure you put the link there as well so that they can pull down the file and see the issue firsthand. Thanks for sumbitting this regardless! [Bug 314587] Re: improved clipboard manager
Thanks so much for submitting your idea of getting an improved clipboard manager for ubuntu. I went to the link that you provided in an attempt to download the ClipGenie for linux, unfortunately there are no available download links even after registering. I think you should consider moving this idea over to brainstorm. https://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/ where it can be discussed, voted by the community and reviewed by developers. Please provide us with more info including details on where we can download it for testing. or present your idea in brainstorm, if you prefer. Maybe some developers will write up cool a custom app that will meet your needs. I am going to mark this invalid though because you can't package what you can't download :-). Thanks for submitting this bug to help make Ubuntu better, In order to help make things easier we need to know some specifics from you. Can you please let us know the version of Ubuntu that your seeing this problem in? Can you provide the package information of Evolution? I was unable to reproduce the bug, so can you list steps of exactly what you did that caused you to notice this? I opened evolution myself and click on calender, under memo it had a grey line item that said click here to add memo. I add a memo... and clicked off of the calender, then I clicked on the memo next to my memo description and saw my cursor appear so that I could edit it.
