  palimpsest from the package gnome-disk-utility recognizes luks encrypted
  disks which are created with cryptsetup.
  
  palimpsest offers a button "Change Passphrase...". When pressing this
  button you are prompted for the "Current Passphrase" and for the "New
  Passphrase".
  
  Entering the "old" and twice the "new" passphrase and hitting the button
  "Change Passphrase" palimpsest display the message "Changing Passphrase
  for Encrypted LUKS device" and then suddenly returns to the passphrase
  input window with the error message "Incorrect Passphrase. Try again."
  
  The passphrase is correct mounting and unmounting the luks partition
  works perfect with palimpsest.
