[Bug 448084] Re: gnome-panel crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_widget_show()
I'm taking a look through this and I'm still not sure what the problem is yet, but there are a couple things that concern me a little bit and seem like they could be related. default_signaler is never unref'd anywhere, and the signals that are connected to it are never disconnected anywhere. I'm worried that these signals might be triggered and are passing in objects that may no longer exist, but the pointers that were registered as as the user_data on the signal connections are still pointing to those old memory addresses. As Kalle points out, gtk_widget_show() is crashing on g_return_if_fail() and the only reason I can think of that this might happen is illegal memory access. -- gnome-panel crashed with SIGSEGV in gtk_widget_show() https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/448084 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-panel in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 528017] Re: Button press events force xchat into text selection mode that can't be broken.
It should not affect the operation in non-CSD mode at all. This actually just seems to be a bug in xchat-gnome that has never been noticed because when the event propagates up to the toplevel widget there has never been one that catches it before. It should return TRUE if it handles the button-press event. But CSD will not be in Lucid, so keeping the bug in xchat-gnome isn't hurting anything at the moment. But it would still be nice to get it fixed in upstream. :) -- Button press events force xchat into text selection mode that can't be broken. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/528017 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to xchat-gnome in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 387957] Re: Improve Save As Dialog Box (focus issues)
If anyone wants to do some work on this bug, here's a patch to get you started. This sets the focus to the location entry when you double click the file browser treeview. I don't have time to look into all the details right now, but if someone here does then I'll be glad to help/mentor you if you want to finish this up. The file chooser widget runs in different modes, and this patch should probably ensure that it only moves the focus if the chooser is running in certain modes. We also probably also only want this behavior for save dialog operations, not for open dialogs. If I double click in the file browser while I'm trying to open a file, I want to still be able to search in the file browser treeview by typing. ** Attachment added: Start of a patch http://launchpadlibrarian.net/37737749/lp387957.diff -- Improve Save As Dialog Box (focus issues) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/387957 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 491521] Re: Decorations and RGBA
Andrea, you need to actually look at GdkColormap or the GdkVisual directly and determine if it's an RGBA colormap. You can't compare the return value of gdk_screen_get_default_colormap() and gdk_screen_get_rgba_colormap(), because they'll be different values even though they're both RGBA colormaps. The reason for this is because we're planning to do a further optimization once we get a new EWMH hint spec made official. But basically we want to be able to differentiate between widgets that are set to RGBA by either gtk_widget_set_colormap() or which are told through the theme that they're RGBA as opposed to widgets that are only RGBA because it's they inherited the default and don't actually draw any RGBA. -- Decorations and RGBA https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/491521 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-desktop in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

This is an updated rgba/decorations patch for gtk+. This fixes a crasher which is reproducible in Transmission and probably other apps, and it removes all the extents and drop-shadow code. [Bug 491521] Re: Decorations and RGBA
Hey Andrea, The decorations currently only defines some new style properties on GtkWindow, so you should be able to use it already from murrine I think. GtkWindow:client-side-decorated - bool, defaults to FALSE GtkWindow:decoration-border-width - int GtkWindow:decoration-resize-handle - int GtkWindow:client-side-drop-shadows - bool, defaults to FALSE GtkWindow:extents-left - int GtkWindow:extents-right - int GtkWindow:extents-top - int GtkWindow:extents-bottom - int client-side-decorated needs to be set to TRUE to enable the feature, it defaults to FALSE The four extents values control drop shadow size. For now make sure you set all four of those to the same value, or the drop shadow may be messed up. Glad you're interested in it.. let me know how your experimentation goes, and until it gets officially merged into master could you report bugs to me directly by email?
