[Bug 1016581] [NEW] odb file extension should be associated with LibreOffice Base instead Archive Manager
Public bug reported: 1. Create a new database file (foo.odb) using LibreOffice Base. 2. Close LibreOffice. 3. Open foo.odb via dash home / recent files. Since the odb extension is associated with Archive Manager (alias File Roller) as a default, I got a nice error at this point. If I open Nautilis and correct the file association to LibreOffice, the above steps work OK, as expected. The question is: why was the odf extension by default associated with the Archive Manager application? [Bug 1016581] Re: odb file extension should be associated with LibreOffice Base instead Archive Manager
Here's an example database file (no private information in it). Also It's just as easy to reproduce by doing step 1-3. above (creating an empty *.odb file with LibreOffice Base, and reopening it via dash or even from nautilus). [Bug 940556] Re: rhythmbox crashed trying to sync
Reproducible with iPod Shuffle 2nd generation + Ubuntu 12.04. Sync library crashes Rhythmbox, new playlist doesn't (the latter may be a separate bug, see comment #6). I also can't copy any music files onto the device, which may as well be a separate bug. About twice the crash also produced a crash report dialog (rhythmbox crashed with SIGSEGV in foo) but I couldn't yet reproduce that. Also when I clicked the continue button in the crash report dialog, it disappeared and nothing happened - no launchpad session appearing in a browser window and no bug reports found with the above title. Guess the bug reporting framework couldn't really handle the case. If I come across it again, I make sure that I save the relevant information to post it here. Also tried to run rhythmbox in debug mode, last output lines on crashing were: (rhythmbox:3489): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_type_instance_get_private: assertion `instance != NULL instance-g_class != NULL' failed Segmentation fault (core dumped) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/940556 Title: rhythmbox crashed trying to sync To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rhythmbox/+bug/940556/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 969844] [NEW] gnome-terminal window content disappearing
Public bug reported: Steps to reproduce: 1. Start gnome-terminal. 2. Start Rhythmbox in debug mode: # rhythmbox -d 3. Start playback in Rhythmbox. (Maybe this is optional, maybe not. I guess this ensures that fresh output is sent to the gnome-terminal window continuosly, which may help to reproduce the bug.) 4. Switch back to gnome-terminal: the main part of the terminal window goes blank. If this step doesn't produce the bug, try walking around a bit on the desktop, switching windows, minimizing the terminal window etc. Also, when the bug appears, maximizing or resizing back the gnome- terminal window will make the debug output reappear. Walking a bit around the open windows, then returning to gnome-terminal may reproduce the bug again and again. [Bug 969855] [NEW] rhythmbox stops playback every now and then, mostly at the start of a new song
Public bug reported: I'm playing back a long playlist (~1000 titles) in Rhythmbox, made up of mp3's and some ogg files. Every now and then, playback stops, and nothing happens, until I manually make Rhythmbox jump to the next track, then everything returns to normal. It happens once in about every ~15-30 minutes (~4-10 songs). Crossfading is disabled. The playing is mostly stopped at the very beginning of a new song. I noticed a single occasion, when it stopped after playing 15-20 secs of a song. Tried to run from terminal using rhythmbox -d, but it didn't show anything useful (at least not for me). The only thing to note is that the last output line(s) address the previously played file, not the one the pausing happens in. Couldn't pinpoint anything else, sorry.
