Sebastien Bacher: I did not detect any regressions so far, I only wanted
to note that this bug still appears in the new version.

[Bug 921071] Re: sometimes stop playing when going from an mp3 to an ogg (related to transcoding)

2012-07-07 Thread Csipak Attila
I did encounter the bug after installing the new package (gst-plugins-
base0.10 0.10.36-1ubuntu0.1), using Rhythmbox with crossfading disabled,
going from mp3 to ogg.

[Bug 1016581] [NEW] odb file extension should be associated with LibreOffice Base instead Archive Manager

2012-06-22 Thread Csipak Attila
Public bug reported:

1. Create a new database file (foo.odb) using LibreOffice Base.
2. Close LibreOffice.
3. Open foo.odb via dash home / recent files. Since the odb extension is
associated with Archive Manager (alias File Roller) as a default, I got a nice
error at this point.

If I open Nautilis and correct the file association to LibreOffice, the
above steps work OK, as expected. The question is: why was the odf
extension by default associated with the Archive Manager application?

2012-06-22 Thread Csipak Attila
Here's an example database file (no private information in it).

Also It's just as easy to reproduce by doing step 1-3. above (creating
an empty *.odb file with LibreOffice Base, and reopening it via dash or
even from nautilus). I just reproduced the error this way on my wife's
notebook, so I guess I'm not the only one having a default *odf -
archive manager file association.

[Bug 940556] Re: rhythmbox crashed trying to sync

2012-05-13 Thread Csipak Attila
Reproducible with iPod Shuffle 2nd generation + Ubuntu 12.04. Sync library
crashes Rhythmbox, new playlist doesn't (the latter may be a separate bug, see
comment #6).
I also can't copy any music files onto the device, which may as well be a
separate bug.

About twice the crash also produced a crash report dialog (rhythmbox
crashed with SIGSEGV in foo) but I couldn't yet reproduce that. Also
when I clicked the continue button in the crash report dialog, it
disappeared and nothing happened - no launchpad session appearing in a
browser window and no bug reports found with the above title. Guess the
bug reporting framework couldn't really handle the case. If I come
across it again, I make sure that I save the relevant information to
post it here.

Also tried to run rhythmbox in debug mode, last output lines on crashing
were:

(rhythmbox:3489): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_type_instance_get_private:
assertion `instance != NULL  instance-g_class != NULL' failed
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

[Bug 969844] [NEW] gnome-terminal window content disappearing

2012-03-31 Thread Csipak Attila
Public bug reported:

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start gnome-terminal.

2. Start Rhythmbox in debug mode:

# rhythmbox -d

3. Start playback in Rhythmbox. (Maybe this is optional, maybe not. I
guess this ensures that fresh output is sent to the gnome-terminal
window continuosly, which may help to reproduce the bug.)

4. Switch back to gnome-terminal: the main part of the terminal window
goes blank. If this step doesn't produce the bug, try walking around a
bit on the desktop, switching windows, minimizing the terminal window
etc. Also, when the bug appears, maximizing or resizing back the gnome-
terminal window will make the debug output reappear. Walking a bit
around the open windows, then returning to gnome-terminal may reproduce
the bug again and again.

[Bug 969855] [NEW] rhythmbox stops playback every now and then, mostly at the start of a new song

2012-03-31 Thread Csipak Attila
Public bug reported:

I'm playing back a long playlist (~1000 titles) in Rhythmbox, made up of
mp3's and some ogg files. Every now and then, playback stops, and
nothing happens, until I manually make Rhythmbox jump to the next track,
then everything returns to normal.

It happens once in about every ~15-30 minutes (~4-10 songs).

Crossfading is disabled.

The playing is mostly stopped at the very beginning of a new song. I
noticed a single occasion, when it stopped after playing 15-20 secs of a
song.

Tried to run from terminal using rhythmbox -d, but it didn't show
anything useful (at least not for me). The only thing to note is that
the last output line(s) address the previously played file, not the one
the pausing happens in.

Couldn't pinpoint anything else, sorry. If there's any other information
I can produce about the bug, ask and I will see to it.

2012-03-31 Thread Csipak Attila
Clipped output of rhythmbox -d 2 rhythmbox_debug.txt

At about 12:55:51, the last correctly played title is seen for a couple
of lines, and then the problematic title should start, but instead it
stays halted at 0:00.

At 13:12:03 something interesting also happens, as Rhythmbox jumps to
the next title.

[Bug 657899] Re: confirmation dialog appears behind other windows when changing screen rotation via the gnome-display-properties panel icon

Hi Pedro,
I just tried testing with the new Oneiric beta live CD. Though since Oneiric
uses Unity by default, I'm somewhat disoriented and couldn't find a way to
check the error. I'm not even sure if testing this in Unity is an option
anyway: is Oneiric using gnome-control-center? If not, is there anything
similar I should test?
Thanks for feedback.

[Bug 746694] Re: GDM_LANG overrides my locales

2011-03-31 Thread Csipak Attila
There's a very similar bug in maverick, see Bug #746796. The important part of
the problem seems to be that we upgraded from a backported gdm version to a
security update gdm version.
See Sebastion Bacher's comment in the duplicate.

** Changed in: gdm (Ubuntu)
   Status: New = Confirmed
