When I type yelp in the terminal, this is the output:

failed
OMF category 'Applications|Other' not recognised, ignoring.
OMF category 'Applications|Other' not recognised, ignoring.
OMF category 'Applications|Other' not recognised, ignoring.
Segmentation fault

When I click on the help button, help window pop up with loading status,and it 
crashes after few seconds.
However, when I click on System-About ubuntu ,everything is fine and i can 
search throughout help without problems.

[Bug 406186] Re: yelp prints OMF category warnings

I have the same problem. My yelp doesn`t start at all. When i launch it
from the panel, loading window pops up for a few seconds and then it
closes down and nothing happens.
