[Bug 761926] [NEW] Shutdown icon not working when in Workspace Switcher mode

2011-04-15 Thread Daniel Lee
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: brasero

To replicate the issue, follow the step

1. Click the Workspace Switcher icon in the Unity taskbar.
2. When it still displays the four workspaces, click the power icon at the top
right corner. It does not display the drop down list.

Thanks,
Daniel

[Bug 657684] Re: Brasero burns corrupted disks and 2MB images

2010-10-18 Thread Daniel Lee
This is apparently triggered by adding files from different directories.
Attempting to make an iso where all the files come from the same
directory works but otherwise it cancels with brasero (libisofs)MISHAP
: Image write cancelled.

[Bug 449873] Re: screen unlocks when wrong password is entered 6 times

2009-10-12 Thread Daniel Lee
I think you have to enter the same password each time. When I was typing
in different stuff I couldn't get it to work. This might just be
coincidental, however.

[Bug 441210] Re: [karmic] boot and gdm wallpaper is too low color

2009-10-04 Thread Daniel Lee
There are two possible reasons for this. The first is that you're
running at 16bpp and have hit this bug 423632, another is that you're
using cheap LCD's which only support 18bit color
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_depth#LCD_displays .

[Bug 441434] Re: Password field disabled after clicking on availability options

2009-10-03 Thread Daniel Lee
I've had this problem for awhile but I was never sure where I should
report it. I think it's already been like this for several weeks.

BTW I think the term is Accessibility Options, not availability.

This is different from the bug here
https://bugs.launchpad.net/gdm/+bug/421214 because that one doesn't
affect my system; I can swap keyboards all day at the login screen and
it won't lock the password box.

[Bug 438715] Re: gnome-display-properties does not edit xorg.conf virtual desktop correctly in karmic for dual head

I had the same experience on my computer with a 4850. For some reason
xorg.conf isn't being updated to the new virtual screen size. If that
setting is written elsewhere, then it's not being used.

[Bug 436902] [NEW] Display properties hangs X when detecting monitors

2009-09-25 Thread Daniel Lee
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

Plugging in a new monitor and then attempting to open display properties
or opening display properties, then plugging in a new monitor and
clicking on the detect displays button results in a blank screen.
kern.log then gets flooded with these messages

This repeats indefinitely.

My best guess is that display properties is creating an incorrect
display size after detecting the new monitor. In my case it is a
1280x800 14 laptop screen and 1680x1050 19 monitor.
