[Bug 1965965] [NEW] Screenshot with Chrome menu open messes mouse cursor
Public bug reported: To reproduce the issue: 1. Open the Chrome browser 2. Go to https://ubuntuforums.org (this is just an example) 3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Quick Style Chooser" menu (shows Ubuntu vB4.x by default) 4. On your keyboard, press the key combination: Ctrl-Shift-PrtScr This should change the cursor to a cross so that you can select the screen region to capture, but it doesn't work. Instead it does something to the mouse to that clicks only work in current application and the Ubuntu menu bar and app dock don't take mouse clicks (they show a cross for the cursor). Putting the computer to sleep does not help. Using Ctrl-Shift-PrtScr again does not help. Re: [Bug 1870736] Re: [nvidia] Screen scaling 125% gives 200%
I tried text trick already, but unfortunately it doesn’t really solve the problem. All of the regular UI elements (icons etc) remain tiny. I would really suggest if we could please not go that route, and instead focus on fixing the scaling properly, if possible. Re: [Bug 1870736] Re: [nvidia] Screen scaling 125% gives 200%
Running into this on a single 4k monitor with 125%, which worked well on 19.10. Now with 20.04, every time I click on 125% it will show the “zoomed in” portion of the screen instead (so when I move mouse to the edges of the screen, it “slides” the viewport towards that instead). In addition, it doesn’t preserve the 125% setting as others mentioned. Using proprietary Nvidia driver. *** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1610200 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1610200 I fail to see how this is a duplicate of bug #1610200, which has been fixed in gtk+-3.0 - 3.20.9-1ubuntu1. [Bug 1284308] Re: Bogus "another operation in progress" error. Can't copy files from a bluetooth device
I have upgraded to Ubuntu 13.10. And as usual, with the upgrade, a whole new bluetooth issue, which this times makes transferring files from the phone to the computer (which already was painful) completely impossible! How I reproduce (100% systematic): 1 - click on the Bluetooth icon in the notification area 2 - from the dropdown menu, choose "bluetooth settings" 3 - select the phone among the listed devices 4 - click on "Browse files" 5 - A Nautilus windows opens, allowing me to browse files on the phone. Open the DCIM/Camera folder 6 - Select a couple of files. Either drag and drop them, or copy and then paste them, into a folder on the computer => I systematically get an error, but it can be any of the two variants shown in the two screenshots (one says there was an error copying the file, the other says there was an error getting information about the file; in both cases the given reason is "another operation in progress". Note also that in one case there is a Retry button, in the other there is not - pure nonsense). I then "ejected" the phone with the eject button next to its name in Nautilus, and repeated the whole process. I randomly get any of three outcomes: - the one described above (MOST of the times) - at step 4, I get an error "This location could not be displayed. [Bug 1131664] Re: The default apps should have standard menubars under Unity
Patch against the current development release (3.10.1ubuntu1). This patch is different from the previous Evince patches in the following ways: * It uses the "gtk-shell-show-app-menu" and "gtk-shell-show-menubar" settings, which should make it work correctly in any desktop environment. * It slightly updates the Evince 3.6 menu structure to more closely resemble the new action menus (i.e. subtle differences in separator placement and item ordering). To complete this work, some translations from 3.6 would need to be ported to 3.10 as they don't exist anymore (e.g. for the top-level menu labels "File", "Edit", "View" and "Go"), but I don't really have the expertise to do this so I left it alone for now. ** Patch added: "Evince menubar resurrection" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/1131664/+attachment/3930691/+files/menubar.diff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evince in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1131664 Title: The default apps should have standard menubars under Unity To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/1131664/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
