[Bug 1072406] Re: /usr/lib/evolution/evolution-calendar-factory consume 99% cpu

2013-02-07 Thread Dianne Reuby
I'm finding this on my 12.04 LTS - it started about two weeks ago. It
also seems to be sending and receiving data on the internet whether Evo
is running or not. NetHogs listed it as the culprit.

[Bug 593367] Re: evolution crashed with SIGSEGV in get_glyph_items_in_range()

2010-06-15 Thread Dianne Reuby
Evo is crashing several times a week, each time with a different
message. Often I'm on another desk, so all I see is the evolution has
closed box and the apport reporting box. When I am actually using evo
during a crash, I can usually tell it's about to happen as it responds
extremely slowly - as I delete emails, the are shown with strikethrough
rather than disappearing straight away. When I am using it, it's always
just to read emails - I rarely use the calendar or switch to contacts
view.

Apport seems to have filed my other crash reports at Bugzilla, eg
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=619179

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. However, your crash report is either missing or challenging to deal
with as a '.crash' file. Please follow these instructions to have apport
report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic
 retracer.

If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport
 in /etc/default/apport and restart.

If you are using Ubuntu with the Gnome desktop environment - launch nautilus
and navigate to your /var/crash directory and double click on the crash
 report you wish to submit.

If you are using Kubuntu or Xubuntu you can file the crash using
 /usr/share/apport/apport-qt --crash-file=/var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash in
a terminal - where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to
 report.
I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will
automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more
efficiently. Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

Clicking on the crash report gives me an error:

Sorry, the program evolution closed unexpectedly

Your computer does not have enough free memory to automatically analyse
the problem and send a report to the developers.

[Bug 216830] [NEW] Images covered with brick pattern

2008-04-13 Thread Dianne Reuby
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: evince

evince:
  Installed: 2.20.1-0ubuntu1
  Candidate: 2.20.1-0ubuntu1
  Version table:
 *** 2.20.1-0ubuntu1 0

100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com gutsy/main Packages
Ubuntu 7.10

I viewed several PDF files online, these are local walks, and consist of
a map page with the route added in red, and a text description page.

Viewing through Firefox 2 (left-clicking the link) displays perfectly
OK. Downloading to HDD and displaying in Adobe 8 also displays OK. But
in Evince the downloaded files have a brick pattern of dotted red
lines over the map image, covering large parts of it.

Properties show creation info as:
Pagemaker 6.5
Acrobat Distiller 4.0 for Macintosh
PDF-1.3

[Bug 153057] Re: Evince doesn't display PDF-documents done with InDesign

2007-11-05 Thread Dianne Reuby
Here's one I'm having this problem with. I downloaded the original some
while back under Feisty - no problems with it, and I have a printed copy
that's OK. Now it only displays part of page 2, and the page numbering
is something like page 127 of 4. :)

I've downloaded it again to make sure it's not a corrupt file, and it
still has the same problem.

[Bug 153057] Re: Evince doesn't display PDF-documents done with InDesign

Forgot to say that I've checked some of my other PDF files - only those
created with Adobe InDesign CS seem to have a problem. Those created
with other software including OO display correctly.
