[Bug 709133] [NEW] Empathy doesn't handle sip: URL
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: empathy empathy offers SIP functionality, but cannot be invoked with a sip: URL, making it much less usable to launch from e.g. a Web browser. This is similar to the need of reacting to irc:// URL schemes #496085 and thus also linked to the upstream bug of https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=541156 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: empathy 2.32.1-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-24.42-generic 2.6.35.8 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-24-generic i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Architecture: i386 Date: Fri Jan 28 10:48:32 2011 ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/empathy ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=fr_FR:fr:en_GB:en PATH=(custom, user) LANG=fr_FR.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: empathy ** Affects: empathy (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 maverick -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/709133 Title: Empathy doesn't handle sip: URL -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 662709] Re: Can not open link in e-mail - can not allocate memory
I'm experiencing the exact same issue; it happens when opening links or opening attachments, and only after evolution has run for a while. The problem disappears when restarting evolution, which seems to confirm this is an evolution-specific problem. I can also confirm it is a new problem, probably since 10.10 (although I can't remember exactly when the problem started to appear). It is very annoying too, so I hope its importance can be raised; I'm happy to run further tests if that can help identify the problem. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to evolution in ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/662709 Title: Can not open link in e-mail - can not allocate memory -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
