[Bug 1272096] Re: Nautilus adds Untitled aumatically to new file templates

2015-05-06 Thread Edwin Pujols
** Description changed:

- I don't think this is awkwardly important. Either way, when I create a
- new template on the ~/Templates folder I give it a descriptive enough
- and useful name (for example, New recipe.txt). The new template
- appears immediately on the context menu with the expected title New
+ I don't think this is awkwardly important. When I create a new template
+ on the ~/Templates folder I give it a descriptive enough and useful
+ name (for example, New recipe.txt). The new template appears
+ immediately on the context menu with the expected title New
recipe.txt, but when I click it to create the new document I get a file
named Untitled New recipe.txt. That is, Nautilus/Files always adds the
text Untitled in front of the template name.

What I'd expect is a file simply named New recipe.txt.

[Bug 1224732] Re: Custom default keyboard shortcuts don't work

2014-07-04 Thread Edwin Pujols
@mspacek Notice that I reported this bug against Unity/GNOME 3 not
against Xfce4. Unless you can prove that the bugs are coming from the
same /common/ code (shared by both projects), it would be nicer if you
reported a new bug against Xfce4.

IIRC, last time a used Trusty/Utopic the original bug wasn't present and
I've never had any problem with the default shortcuts (either on Unity
or Xfce4). And for that matter, I've never had problems with Xfce4
custom keyboard shortcuts. So please, report a new bug against Xfce4 if
it haven't been filed before.

[Bug 1293548] [NEW] Indicator disappears when switching to non default layout

2014-03-17 Thread Edwin Pujols
Public bug reported:

I have two layouts: English and Latin American. When I switch layouts
(with Shift+Shift_R) from English to Spanish, the indicator disappears.
When I switch back to English, the indicator reappears.

[Bug 1283627] [NEW] High CPU usage after unmounting

2014-02-22 Thread Edwin Pujols
Public bug reported:

Context: I have my Ubuntu installation on a portable disk, and another
installation on the internal disk.

If I unmount a partition via the side panel little arrows, Nautilus
starts using 100% of one CPU (core). I wait a few minutes, but the CPU
usage doesn't decrease (checked it with top). Notice that the partition
is unmounted successfully.

I noticed this bug after I tried unmounting a partition: Nautilus
presented me a dialog, and the side panel device buttons became
unresponsive for a particular device (everything else was OK). I guess
this might be a separate bug.

[Bug 1224732] Re: Custom keyboard shortcuts don't work

2014-02-15 Thread Edwin Pujols
As Markus says, xim worked at first, but now (on trusty) it stops
working in certain circumstances. I made it work by switching with ibus,
logging out, and switching back then I restarted (I guess logging out
would have done it, though). But it stopped working when I switched
tty's by pressing Ctrl+Alt+12.

Description: file manager and graphical shell for GNOME
Nemo is the official file manager for the GNOME desktop. It allows
to browse directories, preview files and launch applications associated
with them. It is also responsible for handling the icons on the GNOME
desktop. It works on local and remote filesystems.
  .
Several icon themes and components for viewing different kinds of files
  are available in separate packages.

Re: [Bug 1271605] Re: Cannot close window if type-ahead entry is open

2014-01-24 Thread Edwin Pujols
Ah, sorry I mixed up the versions being put to test.

Just tried with Nemo 2.0.8 and the window /does not/ get closed. What
happens is that the type-ahead entry disappears after a short while.

*Off-topic* BTW, on checking this out, I discovered that Nemo crashes if I
open the About dialog. Not sure if the bug has been filed at the least.

[Bug 1272096] [NEW] Nautilus adds Untitled aumatically to new file templates

2014-01-23 Thread Edwin Pujols
Public bug reported:

I don't think this is awkwardly important. Either way, when I create a
new template on the ~/Templates folder I give it a descriptive enough
and useful name (for example, New recipe.txt). The new template
appears immediately on the context menu with the expected title New
recipe.txt, but when I click it to create the new document I get a file
named Untitled New recipe.txt. That is, Nautilus/Files always adds the
text Untitled in front of the template name.

[Bug 1269514] [NEW] Black screen (with clock) after waking the display

2014-01-15 Thread Edwin Pujols
Public bug reported:

When the display sleeps due to idle time (or running `gnome-screensaver-
command -a`), if I move the mouse lightly it wakes up to a black screen
(with the clock on the top right). In this black screen I need to move
the mouse or press a key so that the desktop is shown. I have the lock
screen when idle option disabled.

*Steps to reproduce*

Disable lock when idle. Let the display go to sleep (or `gnome-

should wake up, but instead of showing the desktop it shows a black
screen (reminiscent of the lock screen?).

[Bug 1224732] [NEW] Custom keyboard shortcuts don't work

2013-09-12 Thread Edwin Pujols
Public bug reported:

Just noticed that adding custom keyboard shortcuts does not have any
effect. If, for example, I add a custom keyboard shortcut for Evince and
set it to Ctrl+Alt+E, pressing this key combination won't launch Evince.

* What happens *
When I add a custom keyboard shortcut (and bind it to some key combination),
the shortcut does not run the associated command.

* What I expect *
After adding the custom shortcut, I expect that the shortcut launches the
associated command.
