[Bug 1866194] Re: External audio device shows up in the sound output options but the sound keeps being emitted from the internal laptop speaker, or none at all.

2020-05-09 Thread Fábio Lima
This also affects me!

Ubuntu Focal Fossa updated until right now;
Dell Inspiron 15 5590 Laptop;
Intel® Core™ i7-10510U CPU.

I just use a simple P2 headphone.
When plugged, audio doesn't sound out and mic doesn't capture in until I go to
Gnome Control Center > Sound and change to the other input device created
besides the default one.

Look this out happening at https://youtu.be/uLwrqPwByNk

Bug description:
Binary package hint: nautilus

I always was able to see and work with Windows machines on my network
thorugh Samba.

Today unfortunatelly, I cannot see any Windows machine through Nautilus file
viewer. When I click on network, it shows a windows network and I am able to
enter in it and see the groups inside it. But When I try and click on a
group, it shows a error message saying:

Unable to mount location
Failed to retrieve share list from server

This only happens to one group, the other I am still able to check
inside.

I googled for some tips on this problem and found that using the IP some
people could access the machines. I gave a try here and it works: by using
the machine's IP I can see all the files within it (through Nautilus), but
it I try to navigate through Network locations, I am unable to see the same
machine.

This problem started suddenly today, there was no system upgrade.

Thanks in advance

I have the same problem.

I'm using Kubuntu 8.10. In system settings (Regional and Language

All command-line programs are in English, but not apt. Thus I'm having
the same problem, when I need to confirm something it shows (S/n), but
to say yes I have to press 'Y', not 'S'. (It's the expected behaviour,
since it should be in English, but it's not what it shows me on screen)

It would be important not to do any regressions in such a basic and easy
to solve issue. I will be reporting it to GNOME's bugzilla too.

[Bug 64412] pt_PT instead of pt_BR

2006-10-11 Thread Fábio Nogueira
Public bug reported:

I noticed that the translation for pkgconf-gnome-applets have been
somehow switched from pt_BR to 'pt' under Dapper. In order to see this,
execute the following command:

sudo dpkg-reconfigure gnome-applets

The correct translation for pt_BR can be seen here
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/dapper/+source/gnome-applets/+pots
/pkgconf-gnome-applets/pt_BR/+translate

The existing translation, also found in pt_PT can be seen here:

I will verify if the same problem occurs with other packages
