[Bug 922551] Re: Baobab reports extension size bigger than it is

2012-01-27 Thread Fabio Marzocca
What I see in your screenshot is that you have a Total Filesystem capacity of
2TB.
This includes every mount you may have in your system (including remote mounts)
and not disabled from Baobab preferences. GParted reports only local disks (and
in the screenshot you are showing just /dev/sda).

[Bug 638714] Re: Free space indication in disk usage analyzer

2010-09-15 Thread Fabio Marzocca

files stored on it. No "free space" indication other than what is
presented in "Preferences" dialog for mounted devices.

[Bug 566492] Re: Mounted devices icons on desktop don't open

2010-04-21 Thread Fabio Marzocca
Sebastien, I have fixed this. Looking into xsession-errors I have found that
gnome was not able to access $HOME/.dbus
That folder had wrong "root" owner.
I have removed it and reboot. Now the folder has correctly been created with
user grants and desktop icons are working again.

Marking this bug as: Invalid.

Thanks for cooperation.

[Bug 341141] Re: Baobab reports incorrect sizes

2009-04-23 Thread Fabio Marzocca
As I am understanding, this possibile bug is related only to ntfs long
names, so maybe the title should be tuned up.

Anyway, hard links are correclty reported in Baobab. Try scanning
/usr/bin folder and you will see that in the folder description will be
displayed "Contains hard links for: xx MB".

Concerning ntfs-3g, I can just repeat that we are using standard Gnome
Gio libraries, so I have to check with them if they have any report on
this.

[Bug 74325] Re: Baobab uses incorrect units

2008-09-03 Thread Fabio Marzocca
We - as all gnome developers - use g_file_format_size_for_display
funtion. This is not a bug for Baobab. Pls see glib Bugzilla:

[Bug 114341] Re: Disk Usage Analyzer does not detect files in the directory

2008-07-07 Thread Fabio Marzocca
The project is hosted by Gnome, and more than one UI designer are
partecipating.
I will bring them your position.

As I said, make a full filesystem scan, and you will get answer to your
question concerning HOME folder.

Thank you.

[Bug 114341] Re: Disk Usage Analyzer does not detect files in the directory

2008-07-07 Thread Fabio Marzocca
As I explained few posts before, this is not a bug.
If you scan your HOME folder, the first entry is always 100% as it is the
"root" of the subsequent tree. All the subfolders to HOME refers in percentage
how much space they use vs. the HOME 100%. That's normal. If you want to see
how much space is using HOME folder vs. the total filesystem, run a full File
System Scan.

Further, Baobab show only usage of folders, not of files (there is Nautilus for
this).
i.e.: if you have just one folder in HOME directory, which is using 20% of
space, ther remaining 80% of space is in home/reubenf folder.

[Bug 239504] Re: tooltip not working right in baobab treemap view

2008-06-15 Thread Fabio Marzocca
This problem has been fixed by completely re-coding the whole
treemap/ringschart view, implementing new functionalities. It will be available
on develpment svn within next week and you will be free to download and install
on your system.
Thank you.

If you just delete files (without removing them from Trash), the total
file system used space remains the same.

Please confirm.

[Bug 115745] Re: integrate baobab in nautilus

2008-01-25 Thread Fabio Marzocca
Baobab works only on folders, not on single files.
The tab would probably require a nautilus extension shipped with baobab, while
the button would require nautilus to search for baobab in the path or for the
baobab desktop file and execute it on click. But, as I said, it should work only
on folders, not on single files.

[Bug 114341] Re: Disk Usage Analyzer does not detect files in the directory

2008-01-05 Thread Fabio Marzocca
Because that folder has '700' permissions so it is not readable by
others than root. DUA runs as the user. Running it as gksudo baobab
would have resulted in showing the folder.
