I guys. I'm using in nearly a daily basis GVFSD and this is starting to get anoying. Uh. 7 years have passed and this bug is still showing up. GNOME developers should clean up their GVFS code base because it's a wreck. I upgraded to 13.10 and I still have this bug. Opened some images on GIMP by giving to it the URL of the photos, and gvfs-http did not close the tcp connections. The fix should be backported for 12.04 and 13.04. [Bug 58737] Can't configure network gateway IP (LiveCD & Installed). Knot 2
Public bug reported: Go to system->administration->net->Properties of eth0 interface. I set it up as static IP, then I write the PC's IP, network mask and gateway's IP, click OK and close the net dialog. Then I try to connect to the Internet, but it fails to search anything. So I return to the network configuration dialog and I find that the gateway's IP is disappeared. So...
